Nowhere near dead the game actually has a remarkably stable playerbase over many years, and crossplay being introduced helps a ton. It is true that a lot of the players are long-time players though, definitely easier to get into the game if you already know someone who plays it, but still possible without that.

Revenge hasn't been reworked and buffed, so yes.

Yes the game is alive, yes it still has issues yes you will get free colon surgery from a rank 300+ player who isn't even good and has just been around that long.

Game is solid and fun despite how bad this sounds, Its probably the only Ubisoft game i still actively enjoy.

In small doses. We fans of slashers and fencing games are more starved for content then the MMO community. Woe be to me who does both. Match making is horrid for the first 3 days you play. Once it knows your MMR you will be fine. For a while at least
