Hello, I bought the For honor starter edition today on steam, I installed it and when I wanted to open it it asked me for a code that I don't know where to find it, I already have other ubisoft games played and bought on steam but they never asked me to put any code, just enter with my ubisoft account. The problem is that I can't find the code I need to put, please reply as soon as possible

I am having the same issue. Submitted a support ticket to Ubisoft because they no longer utilize CD keys.

Had the same issue, checked the steam account purchase history and would you look at that instead of downloading the full game steam is downloading the free weekend, except it isnt free we paid 3 bucks for it cause of the sale. Im trying to open a ticket with steam about this but the steam help system is so automated that there doesnt seem to be a ticket system anymore?

Same here :( Askin for a code then offering in Chinese to buy it for 2.99 - I mean not even a starter edition, just this free play. I think it's a free week to play on Ubisoft, but I already installed it through Steam, not sure if I have to uninstall from Steam, but install from Ubisoft going directly to Ubisoft Launcher (or whatever it's called) - annoying :|

Hello again, I think I found the solution because it helped me. What I did was uninstall the game and unlink my Ubisoft account with steam through Ubisoft Connect, I reinstalled the game again and it no longer asked me for any code, just accept a few things and that's it. I hope this can be of some use to you

Lo que hize fue desintalar el juego y desvincular mi cuenta de Ubisoft con steam a través de Ubisoft Connect, volvi a instalar el juego nuevamente y ya no me pedia ningun codigo, solamente aceptar unas cosas y listo. Espero que les pueda servir de algo esto

if you play from ubisoft it'll run but from steam its asking for activation key now I don't know what should i have to do?

apparently, if you want to play it for free, you need to download the game via ubisoft connect. access their website via https://store.ubisoft.com/sea/for-honor/5759633788a7e3de678b4567.html?lang=en_ID and choose play for free (PC). it will redirect you to ubisoft connect (or install UC if you haven't done it), only then you can donload the game AND play it for free. for those who download the game from steam (me included) will all get pranked by ubisoft and stuck in the CD activation key screen. D-Move indeed ubisoft...
