By all means tell me more, for as much crap I give you (swear I have nothing against you personally, just disagreements) I'm still interested in seeing most characters being decent on some front. My take is to give her a bash (same for the heroes who still don't have one) from either a dodge or a heavy soft-feint, but that seems to be the answer to everything these days.
Really don't like how this update made it so some heroes that are "counter attackers" no longer are allowed to counter attack. Weird how it doesn't seem to affect Knight heroes.
Well mainly the issue is that top level just reacts to everything due to poorly thought out animations. Even beyond that her damage numbers are all over the place (like ffs 14 damage on the forward dodge heavy) and she feeds endless amounts of revenge both because her main ganking tool (walk the plank) feeds more revenge than damage for some reason and her pistol blasts (where like 1/3 of her damage comes from) are bashes that feed 30 revenge.
Generally what Pirate needs imo is a full blown rework because in her current state shes a disaster mainly due to the devs seemingly trying to give her every mechanic in existence rather than just make her good at something and sticking with it.
What would she even specialize in, holding PK upside down and shaking her down for her lunch money?

Ideally I think they should stick with the whole good at 1v1s and in 1vXs thing, this game needs less big orange donut gank characters.
Also the idea of Pirate just picking someone up, flipping them upside down and throwing them is kinda funny.
It could be either or, but I think have her focusing on being a 1v1 fits a swashbuckling duelist better.
Agreed. Her current iteration focuses on way too much resulting in her sucking at everything whereas if she was just great for 1v1s she might be useful.
Funny how they gave a sick skin to a hero that isn't in the best place right now, hopefully there'll be an uptick in complaints at her current state when more start to play her.
I just don't know how to rework her, not without making her a clone of every other reworked hero, neutral bashes, bashes in chains, hyper armor, bleed, all that bs.
There's also the point of why bother in the first place, the developers DO NOT LISTEN to any of us; after Afeera having an infinite wallsplat, letting Jorm out of the TG into the game and now the Lawbringer rework... should even bother and just all play PvE until they stop digging for gold in their own ass cracks?
Literally every "duelist" hero have something like this now... somehow Pirate is the next example in heroes that requires "skill" to play, there are better ones that take the crown of "skill to play", but she's one of them now it feels like, maybe somewhere at the bottom lol
She needs a rework and a buff to her hips and thighs, yum.
There's the other issue with Pirate honestly is just how easy she is, like this isn't a Highlander thing where the hero is bad and hard, Pirate is just bad and also extremely low skill, legit the entire character is forward dodge heavy and then walk the plank until they make a correct read on that.
I personally wish they would've done more with her gun than just a bash confirm, it feels like there could've been a more interesting mechanic here lol.
Lawbringers rework should show what we can expect from a "rework" of Pirate, they're not clever enough to make truly unique gameplay kit with her pistol that doesn't go "bash lol".
Pirate rework: add armor to all attacks in her moveset and increase the damage of all attacks by 10.
