For anyone who is having problems with strict/red NAT and want to play with friends
1. Download Hamachi from: https://www.vpn.net/
2. Go to network -> Create a new network and set it up
3. Tell your friend to download hamachi and join to you by: Join an existing network in hamachi
4. Invite your friends in-game and have fun :D

I'm just saying it sounds shady lol. Also, nat shouldn't be a problem anymore since the servers are not P2P like they used to be. All nat does is either it lets you play with people with worse connection than you, or it restricts you (red nat) to players with connection similar to yours.

Custom games are still P2P.

Regardless, if you have red nat you should still be able to play with a friend that also has red nat. You just won't be able to play with moderate or open nats.
NAT doesn't work like that though...

I confused this thread with another one, that's why I edited my answer. There are a lot of different explanation for how NAT works. To simplify it, it just determines if you can be matched with people with similar connection. Open nat you can play with anyone regardless of their connection, RED NAT restricts you to other red nats or open nat. Not in between, so you don't get matched with moderate.

It literally works like that. It even explains it to you in the menu. I confused this thread with another one, that's why I edited my answerr.
I made this thread because I saw so many ppl complaining about they can't play with their friends because they have red NAT. I tried it out and works, just like in minecraft.. I don't know if you ever played it on lan with your friends. If you didn't need hamachi I will be surprised :D

Yes, because using Hamachi to bypass official servers in an always online game totally isn't remotely suspicious.

Really tho, Hamachi does tend to cause a little bit of lag, which is a VBT in For Honor. Even slight lag can ruin a match.

People having problems need to go to their router's settings and forward the game and uplay ports. https://support.ubi.com/en-US/faqs/000026170/Closed-Beta-PC-Connection-Issues-FH-PC

I've had the good luck *knocks on wooden desk* to have never needed to open ports for a game. It would be an absolute PITA to have to do that for every game.

That's what I'm saying. How the ♥♥♥♥ should NAT even matter now a days.
