Is gladiator even good?

his whole kit seems just to poke with lights, nothing really amazing, you get a bash but get nothing gaurenteed off of it.

if you are patient i think glad can be one of the best heroes. Glad however is like poke poke poke and you slowly wear your enemy down which is why glad is so annoying

Nope, parrying light never helps you in high level gameplay. Because in there everyone can parry lights. For example in grandmaster ranked macthes I was not able to throw lights most of the time. But match still goes on with basher, or heavies. So, parrting lights is just an extra not a must need.

Ive noticed its honestly a safer move to dodge bash rather than dodge light, it usually depends on the opponent but it feels like you will have better luck at doing something with the bash rather than being parried when you dodge light

wouldnt go as far as to say one of the best because reflex guard but he's pretty good if you can play him right and the bash is good for starting chains because its quick you can go into a skewer or heavy which you can feint into other attacks or guardbreaks, he's not the best hero you just have to learn how to fight with him

what makes him so good is the continous stab foot and poke, annoying asf not to mention the poison (havent played in a while)

im glad im not the only one that calls it a poison instead of a bleed, you cant just have a bleed droplet be purple

also after now being about rep 10 as gladiator I feel pretty confident in his ways and ive moved to warmonger, who basically feels like boneless warden. or warden with a little bit more options

Has almost the same properties on his bash (same speed, same recoveries.) and it's very good in 1v1s just like any other chargable bashes. Her unblockable is 900ms which is almost a standard for unblockables and it's from neutral, can be feinted and a dodge attack which means it can punish some attacks (not much though)because it's performed with a dodge it has 300ms startup which is completely normal for a feintable dodge attack. Her chain lights have medium hit reaction which means she can ledge people with a 500ms enhanced light and you can't interrupt her after her chained light, not even the charged bash. I don't know about her chain links but as you can see you can't interrupt her. She even has hyper armor on her every finisher heavy just so you can't interrupt her. She has a proper roll catcher, a good mix-up, a neutral unblockable attack, 500ms enhanced lights and not bad feats which helps her in team modes. I don't know why you're thinking she's bad.
