high-end PC suffering constantly from FPS drops
I have a gtx1050 2gb, 8gb ram, windows 7 64bit, 900watt powersupply, and yet

I constantly keep dropping to under 30 fps.

This NEVER happened before; How do I Know? I played 700+ hours just fine, now i cant finish a match, no matter who i play.

Why does this happen and how do i fix it?

You cannot call that a "high-end" PC.

Anyway, if the game ran fine and you never changed settings, check the RAM usage when drops happen, there was an issue with excessive memory allocation. It's supposed to be fixed (it is for me), but you never know... Some people seem to still have issues with RAM Usage.

Have you changed anything in your setup ?

Is v-sync on? Ubisoft games tend to suffer from major frame drops if that is on.

I recommend reaching out to Ubisoft Support [support.ubi.com]. They will have the tools to assist you in troubleshooting this issue and hopefully help you figure out why this might be happening.

Got an AMD RX580 8GB, with Intel core i5 4440 4th gen processor, 8GB of RAM

I have FPS drops when having difficulty reaching the server (when latency reached 150~300). Then after that it disconnects automatically.

But when my latency is stable, the game runs just fine.

If it is a memory issue like Paranochat says, this worked for me https://youtu.be/hKYM--PWFFA
You never said what your cpu was...and why do you have a 900W psu with a 1050... A 1050 is not high end.

it's leagues and bounds better than the old gtx550 I had; it doesn't drop FPS on any other game, and I can run inquisition on ultra.

quadcore black edition, intel i5 i think? I bought it off Microcenter's warehouse as i live right by it

gtx1050 is low end at best.
gtx 1060 1070 is mid tier, and gtx 1080 1080 ti are high end.

That's pretty low end, run it on lowest settings or runescape it by editing game files.

2gb of vram is very low..
Anyway, knock the settings and resolution down and see how it performs? Just because it can run other games doesn't mean it'll run every game unfortunately.
OP if you need help picking out parts let us know. Theres no reason to have a 900W PSU if you arnt going to SLI or crossfire, and even then its not always supported.

My friend built it before he went into drug addiction and was unable to take care of alot of his things, pc included.

What would be a better setup? I need a new motherboard and GPU, or just another GPU to pair w the one i have?
