Why are people still babyraging about the Centurion?

I mean c'mon guys, really?.

Comparing to what he once was and now. The complaints about him being even remotely "overpowered" is a little ridiculous. Yeah, his kit is based around flooring you and spanking you hard if he does. That's what he is, that's what he was and it will probably be what he always will be. Solution, don't let him floor or pin your ♥♥♥ against a wall. It's YOUR skill that's the problem, not the Centurion, he's been like this from day 1 and the scenario has always been the same.

I'll not act as if he wasn't blatantly overpowered at the start. Yeah, he needed some of his nerfs. Like the ability to knock you onto the ground with a kick in revenge, the ability to be able to get a free pin off of a parry, him being able to get a free throw and potentially 70+ damage before the parry changes, massive distance on his pin and other attacks and that GODLIKE stamina capacity he once had. Dude could smack you around for days and not get out of breath.

But all that has changed now. All of what he had that made him even slightly OP is GONE, ok?. GONE. Kaput.

If he whoops your ♥♥♥, flawless victory style. Then that's on you.

Both Highlander and Conqueror are meta, and kinda problematic if we are being honest due to certain parts of their kit, so it makes sense you'd be having trouble against those. These are heroes you'll see being used even by the most competitive of players.

Of course don't let that make you think that they are unbeatable or anything, each character has his weaknesses which can be overcome. Centurion is specific however is actually underpowered if anything, and as you keep improving you'll see how he'll turn out more easy to fight. The most important thing is to take things cool and try to not let bias stop you from learning your worst-to-fight heroes.

Don't worry, I went past the give up point, I'm willing to put like 500 more hours in this fun ass game haha. It' challenging and you can see when you improve, which is satisfying :P

Try to keep that attitude and in time you'll be having no problem.

Expect either. They are both reactable if you are awake. Just be on your toes here and your frustration should go down a lot, and your winrate up.

Cent is a big big Punisher, so if you learn what not-to-do against him, you'll be fine. He has very little means to opening you up actively, but screw up and he'll take half your health off.
I get why that's a big turn-off for most, but general opinion is that Cent is "fine" if not a bit weak.

Centurion's based around dealing damage while performing CC on his target. In any game, losing control of your character is frustrating, and to add to this his mainstay combo does about 65 damage, which means a large number of the characters will be dead if he pulls it off twice.

He's not the strongest character, but he's extremely punishing to people who can't parry consistently. Given that new players often have trouble with that, it means there's a character in the game who's extremely punishing and innately frustrating and humiliating.

Well a noob is gonna get stomped by any hero in capable hands. And yeah, if you’re trying to learn the game, cent is gonna mop the floor with you. But in the realm of those who know how to play, he is def not OP.

Not sure why people are defending the fact he is still op in many ways.
I have a rep 14 cent...and yes he is OP. He is a gank monster just like the highlander.

All a cent has to do is land a SINGLE heavy and follow up with a punch and the player falls to the ground. Then the cent pounces on you taking away 4 bars of health (and others prob hit you while your down.)

Fix the massive punish and he will be fine.

Then what would he have? You have to keep that otherwise there is no point. He has no chains, quick attacks, easy light parries....etc. the deal with cent is it being hard to land an opening hit but if you let cent in your door he’ll burn your house down.

Why does cent deserve to disable and take away 4 bars of health?

That’s all cent does too. The pinning animation looks bad but really he takes about a 1.25 bars...about the same as a heavy attack.

It's just a half truth a lie! All high skilled player is a noobstomper not the Centurio.
You are not looking at things objectively. You forgot to add that not all characters have the same abilities and power there is still no balance.
Some heroes are in great disadvantage against others. That's the true and we did not even talk about the circumstances.
On most of the Maps you can find your self in the corner, there are objects around.
At this juncture a high skilled Valkyrie player still ineffective against a blood pro Centurio. But I could also mention other heroes too.
At the same time must not forget that heroes as a Kensei is no in real disadvantage against Centurio.
Some heroes should be improve.

But again, about Centurio: With some heroes no matter how professional a player is the Centurio in a good hand has the bigger chance to winn in the present circumstances.

The Centurio is a noobstomper and not OP bla bla bla, that's all hot air. There are no equal opportunities and that's the point! Need to improve the balance, some heroes should be improved.

On the present occasion at higher levels the player need to decide that play with a hero whom (s)he loves or to play for victory. These two things not match often.

Cent have no mixups at all. I mean none that could work against good player. good player means - the one player who bother himself to look at movelist and pratice half-hour with Cent on arena.

First of all that's completely untrue because there are many other heroes that also can create problems for newcomers. Second, centurion is especially good against newcomers because although he doesn't actually have anything good in his kit, he still requires some basic knowledge of the game's mechanisms, which knowledge if you lack he can keep repeating his 65 damage combo easily.

Except the Ring and the Sanctuary there are objects around, narrow corridors, narrow mountain passes, bridges, columns etc. There is not enough space to dodge properly for example with Valkyrie and she is slow as hell, has low weapon damage etc and the mixups does a lot of ♥♥♥♥ in the present circumstances.
