I get the Gladiator hate now. (Is just a rant, don't take it seriously)

Before this, I wanna preface, I have Gladiator at rep 70, played almost every second of it in 4v4, love the character.

But recently I've been trying to get back into duels, and every single time I find a gladiator I groan audibly. It's either constant zones, or a playstyle so meticulous that it's akin to a lawbringer staring at you. What I mean is these glads stay at a distance, toestabbing if you try to get closer, zone if you get too close or use the zone to option select everything, maybe they'll even throw a punch if you can't side dodge attack it.

Is the character OP? No, not in my mind at least. The thing is, it's just incredibly unfun to play against. There is no counter play to it other than to stare at them as you inch closer and closer until you can maybe dodge the zone and start your own combo. No forward dodges, no whiffs into mixup, nothing is allowed. If I played gladiator like this I'd probably have gotten the character to rep 3 and quit. I always feel the need to attack or I get bored, which is why I should probably just stay out of duels.

People call heroes that they cant beat or handle properly OP. Pay them no mind. Glad's only broken feature is his zone being too safe and maybe his stamina pressure but thats it
