However, we should also look at how objectives are valued and add to your Feat gain. For example, in Breach, you can very often get near completion of your 4th feat in the first Gate phase by farming Pikemen solely. Stuff like this should be looked at critically and how it affects the flow of a game IMO.
Clearing: My version of "Mid-Lane", these are the Heroes that are arguably the best at Clearing out Minions and will spend most of their time in the "Mid-Lane" clearing out the Soldiers and likely having to Anti-Gank when an enemy or two inevitably come by to try and stop them. They get 3 Renown for killing Minions, slightly above average gain for killing enemies in Fair or Outnumbered scenarios and average gain for reviving allies, but get overall less Renown gain everywhere else because if they're not clearing out minions then they're giving the enemy team free reign to take the point for themselves.
Examples: Kensei, Aramusha, Zhanhu, Lawbringer.
Defender: My Version of "Side Point", these are Heroes that can solidly hold their ground in a Capture Point, either being great at 1v1s, Anti-Ganking, Staling, or all 3. Usually they'll be spending the majority of the game Boosting a Zone, but will inevitably have to come out to help out in a Team Fight if it's close by. They get Renown at a much faster Rate while boosting Points, gain the Largest Amount of renown for Defending Points and gain the "Average" amount of renown for reviving allies and killing enemies. They get the least amount of Renown for killing minions, because they should be leaving that job to the Heroes that can do it better while they themselves should be boosting a Zone so the enemies can't steal it or helping out in a nearby team fight if needed.
Examples: Warden, Black Prior, Jorge, Shugoki.
Ganker: Rather self-explanatory, these are the Heroes that LIVE to ambush enemies and turn the fight into a losing scenario, having a moveset that is very powerful against outnumbered enemies but still more then capable of holding its own if the fight is 1-on-1 (most of the time...). These Heroes gain the Largest amount of renown for "Assists", and said Assists count toward their Kill Streak, above average gain for killing enemies in general, even if you outnumber them thanks to the Assist boost, but get overall average gains for reviving, defending points and killing minions and the Slowest Renown gain for Boosting points, because they're job is to run around looking for Enemies to kill, not stay in one place and hope the enemies come to them.
Examples: Gladiator, Shaman, Shinobi.
Roamer: The "Hybrid" Role that stands as the Jack-of-all-Trades, a Roamer's job is right there in the title, they wander the map Helping out wherever they're needed, whether that's backcapping an undefended Point, helping the Mid-Laner either thin out a huge Mob or fight off Attackers, Etc. Their Renown gain is relatively even across the board, but they also get the most Renown for Reviving Allies, as their main job is to run around HELPING their team, they're the most likely to be there to lift their beaten friend out of the dirt.
Examples: Hitokiri, Nobushi, Tiandi, Jiang Jun.
