how come shield bash after light can't be avoided with bp?
Take this stupid thing away. You can spam it pretty much as long as you have stamina.

if light lands the bash and next light are guarantee (wich is stupid with such fast lights). If you block the light, you CAN dodge out of the bash; but whats the point if you cant punish BP for that?. So they repeat it until you miss the block/parry.

You can dodge the bash regardless it just has tricky timing.

As Viable_Golem4375 noted, from what I've seen around the community and my personal experience, its mostly about timing when it comes to dodging BP's shield bash. It is more difficult as far as timing goes for me, but each person's experience is different.

I'd like to know how everyone else fairs against Black Prior's shield bash and methods they use to dodge or even if you are able to punish?

it has nothing to do with timing he still has a guard change bug meaning if you change your guard when you get hit by the light you physically cannot dodge the bash. Its easy to verify this and theres no way the devs dont actually know about it lol. Just go to a lobby with a friend and keep your guard in 1 direction and let him hit you with a light then dodge the bash. Do the same but change your guard just as hes throwing the light and you will be unable to dodge it.

I've literally mentioned this about 50 times in here the first being a few hours after his release. I doubt this ♥♥♥♥ will ever get fixed lol. It was an old bug that they supposedly fixed a long time ago but when they released BP of course this bash spammer has it.

oh and it didn't get fixed when they "nerfed" his recovery time. LOL they said they were going to increase his recovery time to allow for dodge attacks to land and these incompetent devs increased his recovery time to 600ms which is still unpunishable to pretty much every dodge attack in the game aside from a few side doge bashes and raider. What a joke. It's like they dont even understand their own game and know less than the little player base that still plays this ♥♥♥♥ show LOL. I'll give you clue ubisoft......it needs to be at least 700ms in order to be punished by dodge attacks LOL. idiots man.

Most of BP is fine and enjoyable, where his problems arise is with his neutral bash which is just BS. I like playing this character for the rest of his moveset which is actually well designed to some degree, making it all the more confusing why they even decided to give him this OP bash in the first place.

Its dumb. Without a dodge attack you cannot punish it on reaction at all. Those characters who don't have dodge attacks shouldn't have dodge attacks. But its stupid that they can't punish a character for spamming a bash. When i play Prior and see one of these characters i have no reason to not bash spam them besides the goodness in my heart. They can't punish me at all so why not spam them to death.

Even certain dodge attacks still cannot punish it reliably. Riptide strike and Valkyrie's dodge lights are 2 that i've had blocked and land when i use them to punish Prior after the nerf.

700 ms recovery on bash only gives you 100 ms of wiggle room to punish it with a guard break and that's what it should be. But at 500 ms recovery you cannot guard break them at all.
Btw, you can dodge the bash after light easier if you use controller.

btw bp has 300 ms guard change dodge bug so its fair lol

I think it was made unpunishable so it could be used to open up turtles, It being unpunishable means the turtle must do something before he inevitably gets caught by a guardbreak or shieldbash. However this works both ways and bps can be perfectly safe by doing shield bashes, thus making them a more powerful turtle.

And by doing something, you make yourself predictable to throw attacks, wich BP has a full counter for. You cannot turtle or be too aggresive against BP; being able to punish BP changes EVERYTHING, you can be aggresive or punish the the excesive use of the bash; forcing BP to mix his game and not relay on one single move (because as it is, is less of a mixup, and more of a guarantee/save acction).

Maybe perhaps so his bash has a punish?

if you are able to punish : just switch to conq / raider / tiandi / shaman lul

to dodge : just react to it. Y'all ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up really bad with the dodge buff. Of course you cant do it consistently and it slowly chips you down tho
