next samurai hero has an axe? wtf

i been reading rumors that the next samurai hero is using an axe..... if that's true that's really lame and disappointing

Samurai are getting a fantasy version of the Ono

Viking's are getting a war hammer

No. Its an axe not a halberd and it actually looks cool. Also since he's new his kit will be unique. So nothing like Lawbringer's 1 dimensional parry light for 45 damage fighting style...Hopefully

i was hoping for something cool like a ninja with a sword or something... an axe fits more for the vikings not samurai

i even saved lots of steel just for the new samurai hero but since he's an axe hero i'm not interested that's lame to me ... what a disappointment smh

We have 2 Ninjas with swords.

Orochi who were ghost on the battlefield, and Shinobi who is literally a ninja. Then Aramusha who is a fallen Samurai

Also what other type of swords do the Japanese have that could be valid for a Ninja? A Tanto? That's small as hell. Maybe a Wakizashi. But i like the fantasy version of the Ono more than i'd like either of those.

Again, WHY is everybody assuming the Jian is going to be two-handed? Have you heard of Soul Calibur? One of the characters, Xianghua, uses a 1-Handed Jian as her weapon, if anything the Wu Lin Hero is probably going to have a moveset similar to her's since having another 2-Handed Sword would kind of be scraping the bottom of the barrel since we already have 4 by this point (Orochi holds their Katana with Both hands.)

Ever heard of an Ono? It's literally a japanese axe that was used by the sohei (warrior monks) or the yamabushi.

Orochi is a mix between samurai and ninja. They're imperial assassins that are lightly armored, trained in stealth and deception and use weapons like the katana and deadly knives. Literally a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ninja.

Exactly what about that Jian suggests its as big as a freaking Claymore? Its placed right next to Black Prior's Weapons, with the Shield embedded slightly in the Ground with his 1-HANDED blade being visible behind it, and the Jian looks pretty much exactly the same length, heck I even went into detail as to why the Ono is 1-handed and every other weapon in that picture is roughly its length.

he's nothing like a ninja...in case you haven't noticed he's like a smaller faster kensei.. he doesn't use deadly knives either.... literally nothing like a ninja.

so they picked the least popular japanese weapon to give to the new hero of the samurai faction... either way you cut it it's lame.
