pretty wacked huh. People actually make the argument that its "better" because it lets more people play LOL. Mean while every normal person rage quits and doesn't want to play anymore. connection problems has been the core of the main problems for this game since launch and theyve yet to address kicking laggers. Theyve tightened ping restrictions 1 time i think but i constantly see people with pings spiking from 50s to way over 100. Played countless games with people pinging in the 180s and never kicked..
a lot of people join a "friend" from whatever country and they get stuck in your lobby. If the inverse were true and that the lagger was most affected then everyone would be fine with it but this isnt the case.
This. And it has become one of the most annoying feature of this game for me.
You try to parry. The timing seems ok to you, you've parried this basic move from neutral a million times before. And then, the game tells you "no, you mis-timed it" and you eat the blow in your face.
You die. You open the scoreboard, check the ping of the guy. It looks ok-ish at arround 60+, no huge spiking... At first glance.
This guy is now facing one of your team mate and then the 'magic' happens, the ping spikes from 60 to 120+ each time the guy performs an action.
This lag-switching of sort, be it done on purpose or not because of bad connection, is just infuriating, because you keep on failing against guys who aren't even playing really better than you.
this is false..... they can do something about it and lag switching SHOULD not be as beneficial with dedicated servers vs p2p servers. i.e. generally with dedicated servers the lag switch advantage is nill because it usually makes them laggy as well.
also they could tighten their ping restrictions so if people have spiking pings they get the boot.
There is this sense of entitlement with all these stupid kids nowadays where everyone gets a trophy and a free lunch. Im serious this ♥♥♥♥ translates into even stupid video games. Back in the day people got kicked ALL the time for ping.
now they stream, download, etc with ♥♥♥♥ ass internet oh and on WIFI LOLZ with their spiky pings. Their problems are everyone elses problems you see its a "shared" problem and you be damned if you use a wired connection etc. its socialism of the gaming world voila.
same thing, if you do it intentionally or not, the problem is the same, I don't want to be like " yeah m8 it's fine it's not your fault if your bring your problems to me and waste my time" in ranked when I want to give my best
I DO NOT CARE if you have "bad wifi" or lag switch the result is the same and this is the sense of entitlement that i am referring to. the problem would be solved if they just boot everyone who has an inconsistent ping. problem solved, buuuutttt no. everyone "deserves" to play despite intentionally or unintentionally spiking their ping.
heaven forbid if people with "bad wifi" have to do what everyone else that doesnt have "bad wifi" does and use a wired connection, stop downloading etc.
