Berserker sucks

I have almost 150 hours with this character as a main. He might actually be one of the worst characters in the game with no bash, no light spam, extremely low health and stamina. His reflex guard doesn't even work half the time, I can literally see him switch guard to the correct position and he STILL gets hit by non-unblockable attacks. This is probably a bug but still needs to be addressed.

I think his biggest problem is his low speed. All of his attacks are easily parriable, even his lights. All for mediocre damage and high stamina cost. You'd think a character that is incapable of light spam would at least compensate with higher damage or speed, but nope, just the useless infinite chain that can be blocked/parried on reaction by anyone with 10 hours into the game.

If you're falling for zerk faints you are literal trash at the game. Not only are they so slow to get going that you can literally just lightspam them out of it, but all they do is a whooping 15 damage that doesn't even guarantee the heavy after them, so you can just parry the heavy. And bam, they're out of stamina, because their stamina pool to usage rate is so absolutely abysmal that getting parried after two feints inevitably puts you out of stamina.

And I have read guides, watched videos. All zerk strats seem to rely on your opponent not knowing what parrying is. I get more wins in duels with Raider and even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Valk even though I haven't spent a 4th of the time practicing and playing with them. As a matter of fact I have yet to see a single successful zerk on domination, they're always the ones getting on 4th place. The only exception so far has been me in half my matches and literally one other dude.

Have you tried abusing your HA? And have you tried delaying your lights and heavys?

If your usings you HA properly no ones going to be able to light spam you out of your mix up.

Also his damage comes from his heavies not his lights, light are there to mess with people.

Of course I have, but no decent player tries to trade against a zerk, they just parry everything. Lights, heavies, fainted lights, fainted heavies, etc. That's just the turtles though. Most just bash me out of absolutely everything, and parry whatever I manage to slip through, feinted or otherwise.

How are you fainting lights? You can force a trade using your HA.

If you're fighting people as Berserker and they're parrying every delayed feint light and are beating all the viable mixups.

You're not gonna have an easier time with Raider or especially Valk, Valk's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ heavy soft feint is slower than anything Berserker has.

The only way one can feint lights in this game, how else? Why are you asking a question when you already know the answer? Also, did you even read my previous reply? No one will trade with a zerk. They'll either light spam you before you have a chance to start a chain, or just parry your lights/heavies even when you feint them, because zerk is the closest equivalent to a snail in this game.

I mean if you are to claim Zerk is trash after all those hours than you are either not using him optimally or low on skill.. Zerk is THE strongest Assassin in the game and has amazing offence. You probably dont delay your lights enough since his mixups and offense are not meant to be reactable. ALso if you get light spammed when ur using a Zerk that is your problem since Zerk has one of the best deflects in the game and the close to infinite HA that ensures your chains are never interrupted let alone by light spam
