High Rep does not (necessarily) equal good skill. A player might be Rep 100, but if that player did not play for a couple months or maybe even weeks (or just grinded to Rep 100 with Bots [which would of course take ages, but that's just an example]) it would almost certainly not go well for that player to be put in a match with other Rep ~100s who played non stop since launch (don't mind the numbers, just an example).
I'm Rep 66 (Rep 34 on main) myself and got in a match with Rep 70, Rep 11 and pretty much everything in between yesterday, and I had the best matches in a while (which also made me realize how bad I am at this game for the time I put in already).
Devs also said they're monitoring the adjusted matchmaking closely for the next weeks and will make changes where necessary.
On a closing note: Don't get intimidated by a high Rep level, that just means a player put more time into the game than you.
Hope that helps you.
Have a nice day everyone!
While all the above is true, fighting someone with a higher rep score still means that player has more time with the game than you. Ergo, has had more experience and practice than you. So I would still like to say that matchmaking is still as broken as it was before. MAYBE slightly less so, but only slightly.
Just for science - im rep 23/lv9 lawbro/with 3 perks.
(should maybe pre-face this actually feels accurate vs opponents vs time not played and it's been fun)
