He’s incredibly easy to read and if you lose to a Centurion then you’ve made consistent mistakes, or they’re just a better player than you.

absolutely everything in his kit is reactable, his punch is 700ms, his light chain is 500-600-700ms (literally one of the worst light chains in the game), his heavies are 600-1000ms and his unblockable is completely reactable as well. And his zone is hot garbage at 600-600-700ms that cannot be feinted. The one opener he has is his kick and that is 600ms In order to completely counter a centurion all you have to do is just hold your ground and block his heavies, easily dodge his kick and if he stupidly throws out an unblockable use 4 functioning neurons to parry that As for his lights if you can't react to a 500ms neutral light then you are in no position to complain about who is OP.

Congratulations you have now turned centurions offense into something that relies purely on chip damage. I'm genuinely surprised people think centurion is OP

There is one simple fact that cant be denied and thats he is not op he is opposite. Every good player will tell you. Only noobs are crying about him.

If you are genuinely surprised that people complain about cent then and just continuously bash people who do so then your part of the reason this game can't bring in new players easily. New players have trouble with cent for the reasons I've already stated also as a new player you're going to try to parry heavies and cents eat you for new players in his chain that's probably cents only real good part of his kit. Yes for experienced players cent is garbage but for new players he's a menace as they try to learn the mechanics of the game. There's no real reason to be jumping down these players throats when they don't understand mechanics and play styles yet. They will learn with experience but just bashing them is going to turn them off and the game stays dead.

The reason they get hate is because many new players don’t bother listening to the advice veteran players give when we say “Centurion is easy to deal with just never attempt a parry unless he’s OOS, using Zone or you see his heavy glow Orange, completely negate his heavy into GB feint by simply blocking and preparing for a GB and don’t throw out easy parries.”

Instead they come into the forums and whine about a hero who objectively isn’t broken in any way and is in fact completely underpowered compared to the majority of the cast whom they should be focusing their frustrations on such as Warden.

The simple fact is Centurion is a noob stomper and as soon as these players realise this and come up against Wardens who can read reactions or Conqs who can delay bash into GB and come up against real 50/50’s then they’ll be embarrassed they ever mentioned OP and Centurion in the same sentence.

Getting knocked down will garentee a heavy from basically everyone if you coordinate it. Eagles talons only does 35 damage, a heavy from a warden, raider or kensei does 40. Hell if you time it right shugoki can land a 60 damage charged heavy or highlander can confirm an offensive heavy that does 45 damage. But no centurion is OP because his punish does 35 damage and has a lengthy animation that leaves you completely wide open to being attacked, ok lad.

Centurion is far from OP. At first he seems intimidating, but his combos are all predictable, and if you dodge/block the initial attack/opener, you screw the rest of the combo which can't follow through.

Centurion is a PUNISHER. He is made to punish mistakes players make.

In 1v1 he isn't a real threat to someone with over 100hrs ingame.

In 4v4 he's annoying because:
1. "don't fight him near a wall" - You don't always choose where you fight. Sometimes you just find yourself trying to cap a really small zone and he's just there.
2. His unblockables together with the buggy external hit indicator. With the indicator fixed, he wouldn't be a lot of problem.

(btw external hit indicator fix when?)

the problem is in this game you ALWAYS make mistakes. that's the game. the thing is with CENT you make ONE mistake and it's done. Not only is over 80% of your healthj gone, but your stimaina too making you easy pickens. He needs some tweaks

dude i got 500 hours in the game. I've learned him, the problem is like I said. you make ONE MISTAKE and it's over. He knocks you into the ground and that is an 80 hit punish. How is that ok in this game where it's all about back and forth? I dont get how you guys are so fanatical about how he's balanced and OK.

Add some new tools so he has openers if you want but even out the 80 hit cut scene combo. It knocks you down AND drains all of your stamina. He's borderline broken and I've never seen something like that in a multiplayer game in the 10 years ive been playing them

I've never been ok with game mechanics that take complete control away from the player. There's a full 3-5 seconds as he's knocking you down, stabbing you and hitting you where there is literally nothing you can do. That's broken mechanics

I love how new players always think unblockables are the be-all, end-all. But I understand, really. I was there too. The big scary orange attacks are confusing at first, especially before you understand parrying or dodging.

Seriously if there is an obstacle in a game, noobstomper or not, remove the obstacle.
