Just remove Warden already.
These developers are so incompitent with their game. They barely reworked warden and yet, Highlander still has Crushing Counterstrike from all sides, Unblockable heavies that chain into Kick/Grab (better version of shoulder bash) from all sides, Dodge unblockables that guarentee heavies & ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Poise.

You can say that he loses his ability to block when he does his crazy ♥♥♥♥ but it just isn't enough to balance him out.

If they aren't going to give the Warden a proper rework then they should just remove him from the game, same deal with Orochi.

Kensei was soft feint oriented but since his rework he can utilize many more movesets
Warden on the other hand well, Hes not in a super bad spot, But hes not in a good spot

Comparing him and kensei or him and any other hero infact litterly carries no weight as heros arn't ment to be the same.


Wardens rework allows him to slightly spam faster just with out as many shoulder bashs that is pretty much about it, Kensei is in a perfect spot imho.

If i told you that your life depended on a game of For-Honor, and i give you a choice of Shugoki or Berserker, you would pick Berserker because he is a better Hero.

The best way to judge as to how effective/fun a Hero is, in this game, is to see how many different ways you can attack with them. Lawbringer, Orochi, Shugoki and Warlord are generally viewed as bad because they are linear, and hence predictable. Shaman, Highlander, Kensei and Berserker, are generally viewed as good because they are non linear, and hence unpredictable.

Kensei's rework gave the player many methods and mix-ups. Orochi's did not. Warden's did not.

Warden's top unblockable heavy, is slow enough to attempt a parry, see the feint, retract the parry and block the zone/top light punish. This leaves the Warden with only his Nerfed SB as a means of opening turtling players. Warden has, from a competetive perspective, not changed in a positive manner as a result.

Warden is a lot more fun now, in my opinion. After 30 reps, it did take me some time to adjust to the new SB, but she feels more consistent now. Could still do with some more adjustments, but at the moment, all I'd really like to see is better minion-clearing capabilities to make her on par with the other vanguards, considering Fiat Lux is now worthless.

Warden is just fine as he is now. Well, at least as far as viability goes, because if we were to talk about design, all reworked heroes could use some more changes.

Of course as time goes by maybe more changes wll be needed, but for the most part, I don't see what's wrong with his rework. The way he works has changed so many old mains feel kinda lost now, doesn't mean that the character is bad.

Same with the people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about Valks rework. She has changed enough that old valk habits will get you killed or cause you to miss certain punishes due to having to press different button inputs. People really need to just wait and get used to the new characters before complaining about them.
Did they even notice that Wardens zone can chain into top heavy unblockable?
Sure it won't do much once people catch onto it, but right now it does get opponents by surprise, enough to make their reflexes kick in and make them dodge for a GB or light dodge parry.
