All u can get are ornaments for winning games. So be glad to land in bronze 1, there u can have fun fighting without tryhards and still get your rewards.
This. I'm starting to really hate being in diamond with the amount of people who just pick the strongest characters
edit: Basically the higher rank you get, the less fun you have when winning - you have to play so "optimally" (not throwing out unsafe attacks...) that it really kills the fun of the mode
This is exaggerated by the fact that if you dont have an opener then have fun trying to get your opponent to even attempt a parry if their character does have one
TLDR - the "best" (most fun) rank to be is probably about silver / gold, this will enable you to not only find players easily but also not roflstomp players (at the lowest ranks)... and also give you a chance of actually getting the ranked rewards in a fun way that doesn't involve turtling and throwing out your safest move
Oh, i’m not sad about the rank. Ranking up is fun - i really dont mind it.
But being able to drop a full division from a single defeat can produce enormous matchmaking issues. Suddenly i face bronze players when i’m at silver level myself - it’s almost like smurfing. They can’t hope to match me in a 1v1, and if it can happen to me it can happen to people in the mid and high ranks too.
people who wait you to attack? or people who spam same cambo?
people with no lifes
Your term "tryhard" is just them doing the only thing they know to try to win.
And i know we are leagues apart, but... When people refuse to attack me as Aramusha, i just feint. Either cancel a heavy attack and restart it when they parry, or heavy attack the air, then heavy attack again and feint it into a light attack. Typically throws them off balance
(unless they're Kensei or Orochi, where they'll dodge-slash spam in which case i just dont switch into an attack after a feint but just parry their dodge-slash instead.)
You dont actually think people "abusing the broken" is anything out of the ordinary, or limited to the higher ranks, do you? It happens everywhere. People want to win. Even the bad ones.
