Starter, Standard or Marching fire?
Hi, there is a sale and I am wondering if it's best to pick up Starter, Standard or Marching fire of this game. I have played it a lot around launch and I remember it had server issues and such, how is it nowadays?

Starter edition is free but year 1 heros cost 10X as much as the standard edition. Not much tbh since it's all ingame currency that you'll earn in a flash.

Standard pretty makes all basic heros free but dlc characters are still locked at 10k ~ 15k for wu lin.

Marching fire unlocks all the wulin and gives you access to arcade mode.

do note that you can't upgrade from starter to standard.

Starter Edition was only free for a limited time. It isn't free anymore.

I don't really recommend the Marching Fire Edition. From what I've seen it isn't even on sale and the only thing that is exclusive to the buyers of Marching Fire is the "Arcade Mode" wich is an offline bot mode wich isn't worth the money IMO. The starter Edition is cheaper but most heroes will be locked and you need to purchase them with "Steel" (the ingame premium currency wich can be earned by playing the game or purchased for real money). The Standard Edition comes with all the main heroes already unlocked, the DLC heroes will still be locked tho. The general rule for deciding between the two versions is to ask yourself wether you got more money than time or more time than money. If you got more time than money you can get the Starter Edition and unlock all the heroes by just playing the game, If you've got more money than time, than it may be a better choice to just go for the Standard Version of the game. Also it may depend on what type of player you are when it comes to fighting games. If you're someone who prefers to only play 1 maybe 2 heroes than get Starter, If you're someone who likes to mix it up alot and play all sorts of different heroes than get Standard.

At this point, I’d say get the Marching Fire bundle.

Granted, it’s still $60, but it is standard AND the Marching Fire Pack.

That’s basically $30 for each. The only bummer is not having the Year 1 bundle. You either buy the bundle or work your way to grab 60k steels to unlock the six heroes of year 1.
