8 gig ram? That all? What processor?

It is not graphics unit, so it is most certainly that lack of ram and a low tier processor.

I myself have a GTX 960 with 16 gig ram and quad core I7 processor. I play this game on high graphics with 60 FPS. You should be far better off than me with a graphics unit like that.

I also get stuttering on occassion; generally one big sudden lack spike that is for the most part random. It's certainly not my processor, ram, or gpu as they're all pretty powerful (i7 6700k, 16GB RAM, EVGA GTX 1080).

From what little research I did online, it is apparently a longstanding bug that's never been dealt with. Not sure there's anything that can be done.

I forgot to add... windows, when I first got my computer, had a bunch of background apps going. Amongst them, was a video app. Your computer may be recording your games and causing unnecessary lag.

At least that happened to me. I uninstalled all of those apps, no more stuttering.

It seems to be kind of tied to full screen because when I do borderless I get much less stuttering if any at all.. Ubisoft drives me insane >.< They make such good games but god it takes them so long to optimize.

game booster or open up paint and draw a few lines, go sign out of your pc not shut down and it will say are you sure you want to close un sved work, hit cancel and pretty much all unneeded processes will have been shut down

There's no "lack" of RAM. 8Gb is enough to run For Honor. However he might have a cheap slow RAM which would be an issue (capacity isn't the only thing that matter), or an old CPU.

Does Win10 still do this stupid thing with "fullscreen optimizations" ? If it does, you might want to try and disable it.
I always found that game quite well optimized compared to most AAA. It actually runs more than well on my old PC with a terrible CPU. The only issue I had was Memory Leak, but for now it seems fixed.

Assuming that your hardware is working properly, your GPU is obviously not the issue, what's your CPU ? What do you run in the background while playing For Honor ? What's your ingame settings ? Is your RAM or CPU maxed out when playing the game ?

I honestly have no idea what could be causing stutters for you.

I mean, I'm running Win 8.1 with a GTX 1060 6GB, but an outdated AMD A8-6600K APU as well as 8GB RAM and I got no issues at all...

I did get a warning that my VRAM is almost maxed out but I didn't notice any FPS drops... then again I only played a bit over 2 hours so far, and only the story mode.
