Free weekends and getting to keep the game forever
Because ♥♥♥♥ the people who bought your more expensive editions of the game which added virtually nothing, right?.

So basically you're telling me not to buy the next pile of tripe y'all over at Ubisoft spurt out this year or the next, because sooner or later the game's gonna become free. Ok, message received Ubi!.

Well if you had gotten more of your friends to play it, then maybe they would not have had to give away a free starter pack to get player numbers up would they?

The game flopped overall which is why they are trying to do anything to get the numbers up.
Sad as i really liked it in beta and had there been decent servers it would have been a mega game. Ill retry as its free now.

You do realize they're giving away the Starter Edition right? Not the Standard, or the Gold. So the people who bought the "more expensive editions," do indeed get more.
