how do i get the new outfits like unmasked nobushi or peacekeeper? do i have to own the dlc or rank up?

You need to unlock them in battlefield. Also you can unlock them with crates. No need to DLC for new armors..

i wasted so many crates, like 10 to try to get em but i had no such luck...

i used around 15 crates and only managed 2 get the mask and arms but it seems the game felt bad and gave me the body later that night.

If you trying to get a legendary armor piece with low reputation hero, don’t waste your crates i suggest.

not all sets can be unlocked at the same rank m8. quote from patchnotes:
"Knights

Warden, Conqueror, Peacekeeper and Lawbringer: 1 new armor set and two variations each – 1 Rare, 1 Heroic and 1 Epic
Centurion and Gladiator: 4 armor variations each – 2 Epic and 2 Legendary
Vikings

Raider and Valkyrie: 1 new armor set and two variations each – 1 Rare, 1 Heroic and 1 Legendary
Warlord and Berserker: 1 new armor set and two variations each – 1 Rare, 1 Heroic and 1 Epic

U need to achieve rep lvl. The most badass looking dropping since purpl I beleive. I got my unmasked PK at rep 2 tho.

I just forget. 1prest - common, 3 prest - rare, 5 prest - heroic, 7 - epic and 9 - legendry? So you should be prest 9 to get the best looking stuff?

you got the numbers wrong.
rep 0 commons and nothing else
rep 1 commons with a chance of rare
rep 2 rare and nothing else
rep 3 rare with a chance of heroic
rep 4 heroic and nothing else
rep 5 heroic with a chance of epic
rep 6 epic and nothing else
etc.
