Ohh ok. Question: do you corner your enemy at a wall and just spam attack the enemy without making them go doen the ground?
I think noob players are the only ones that dont know how to parry 😂 you can always take down assassins, the only thing that i know broken is the bleed effects.
There is always your kick guard break push and zone
Kensei poke/ tech poke
Nobushi light feint
.... Conqueror
Assassin are op wat????
You mean his feint into bash poke?
Are you really complaining about Nobushi?
I'll give you that one, but to be fair, he has more in common with assassins than heavies nowadays
lol W H A T
Assassin's light attack does peanut damage and their health pool is laughable, every character can kill one with either a good combo or with 3 heavies.
As a dude that plays exclusively assassins i can do a little breakdown for you all:
- Peacekeeper: since the nerf her lights are slow as sh*t and her soft feints are predictable as hell, since she can't choose the directions from where they are coming (spoiler alert: from the top).
She's probably gonna spam the guardbreak or feint a heavy into one since her triple stab is the biggest source of damage she has.
Her zone attack is fast af but does laughably low damage while taking half her stamina so you probably won't need to worry about it.
Most of the times her playstile is extremely predictable, no one plays her for a reason.
- Berseker: probably the most "op" out of the bunch: he has hyper armor and no bad matchups BUT his openers are pretty predictable and all his big boy moves are extremely slow.
His feint game is top notch, but so is Kensei's and i see no one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you have more than 2 working braincells you'll be able to parry 90% of his kit, just watch out for his hyper armor when trading blows.
- Orochi: everyone's favourite, most of the scrubs that play him are gonna spam his light attacks (but they are reactable on PC), his sidestepping slashes have a very easy timing (both for parries and deflects); his back heavy charge is interruptable by a light (your best bet is a zone attack, but it depends on what you're playing).
The zone attack is also extremely fast but considering the stamina cost and that it can't be used as opener i wouldn't worry too much about it, it's just a fancy poke.
Your best bet is to turtle him and outparry his @ss OR go the big boy way and feint some heavies since they probably will lack the mechanical skill to predict those.
- Shinobi: his double dodge into kick is extremely annoying, but if he keeps spamming it he's gonna go OOS very quicky, and as soon as he whiffs it he's gonna be completely exposed for a good second.
His ranged attacks are easily dodged with a sidestep, but if you parry them he's going to be in a lot of trouble.
He has some sick moves but if you end up eating a whole combo you might as well sit back and enjoy the wonderful animation work.
The only real counterplay that comes to mind is: pick Conqueror or be somewhat good with your hero.
- Shaman: pretty much a PK on crack but just as predictable, her bite if landed is gonna fugg you up but keep in mind that as soon as you're bleeding she's gonna go for it, so sidestep that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and send her into the shadow realm immediatly after.
As long as you have a dodge attack or a heavy punish combo for one of her inevitable whiffs you're gonna be a-ok.
-Gladiator: never played him but from what i've seen people just love to spam the toe-stab unblockable with him.
He has fast light attacks, but if you're not half asleep you can probably dodge the majority of them and his unblockables.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR: feint your way into their hearts and rip it out, not everyone turtles with them but there's a reason why under the "assassin" there's "counter-attacker" in most of them.
It's your choice if you wanna step up your game and outplay them by observing their habits or just launch a staring contest in which the first to attack loses.
And if you still lose to someone that just keeps parrying and deflecting everything: just suck it up and admit that they were mechanically better players than you, rather than just blame the character for being cheap.
So yeah, highlander offensive combination count as tech
Side zone, long range poke w speed of light attack and power of heavy
Just showing a fact that she's still a strong hero even without her zone tech
Pretty sure that's also intentional
If parry bait lights and a hidden stance makes you a strong hero, I guess...
