PC has double the frames,so I would go for PC.Especially in such a reaction based game like this, you need the animations to be as smooth as possible.

I hear PS4 has a larger population though, not sure if it is true or not,but just pointing it out.

I heard the same from a guy I dueled that came from console to PC. He also told me PC players are better overall than console players. Probably because of the frame rate diff you mentioned

Makes sense. The very low frames basically force console players to almost never parry.I can't imagine anyone on console parrying 400ms attacks except if he has incredible reaction timing or out of luck.

Of course this doesn't have to do with parrying only.Openers such as warlord's headbutt should be harder to react as well. This forces people to either be really good with slow heroes or just spam their fastest attacks non-stop.
In PC due to the frame advantage people feel more confident about parrying and playing mindgames with slower moves,so the situation is different.

Neither, i know you want to try the game but it's in such a poor condition and rather than fix it, they're taking a month to change anything and all that change does is make the bottom tier classes become top, and vice versa. Buying this game in it's shoddy condition encourages Ubisoft to stay lazy and incompetent, i'm not just saying this to be salty, but any other game ANY will give you more enjoyment. The game's dead, it's not fun as 3 characters destroy any other character and 95% of the tiny community that's left play those 3 characters.

Nearly 80% of your statements are wrong, but its nice to see that butthurt people still want to manipulate casual players to buy a game thats only flawed in High competetive play.

Τhat's not true anymore,to an extent. All the reworked heroes+highlander, gladiator, shaman, peacekeeper, warlord and arguably nobushi are all quite viable. The rest of the heroes will get reworked and fixed as well,by devs words. As for connection issues patches for the errors are being deployed, and lag compensation should come at some point in the near future. The game does have a lot of problems still, but it is improving.

Except that none of that is true. The game isn't bad at all, basically any class is viable and people play them all, often. The game is far from dead. I play FPS games with smaller communities and no one says they are dead. The salt is strong in this one.

I'd say buy it for PC, but wait for a sale. Its a good game, but its not AAA money good.

I suggested he doesn't buy the game not he does. Also care to prove me wrong? One only needs to play the game for an hour to see what i'm saying is true. Also a fighting game should be catered for the the competitive scene, OR it dies. That's how the other fighting games (the actually good ones) work. It's cringy these die hard For Honor fans that refuse to admit there's a problem.

I dare you to beat a conq who plays optimally, a kensei who plays optimally and a gladiator who plays optimally with any other character. 95% of the community play those characters and when played optimally are unbeatable. Also please don't bother saying "oh get good" as someone who's been around since the start and competed with the best, i know when it's down to my skill vs gaming mechanics.

I'm not blindly throwing out insults i'm saying things that are very much true to try and save people money. I refuse to sit idle while Ubisoft does stuff like this and continue to take people's money for a bad game.

What a hero. You are wrong though. Sure the game has a few issues, but they fixed a lot of the bad ones, and all games have issues. Everything you said about 95% of the community playing only certain characters is completely false. I play every day and I see a healthy mix of all characters being used, and they are all viable. I really don't buy the "Im an amazing player so it must be the game thats broken" routine
Imcold Mar 4, 2018 @ 7:44am
PS4, easy choice. While PC does have extra frames and got servers earlier, PS4 has less frames and that makes some heroes slightly more viable than they would be on PC, finding games is faster, and the quality of most of the actual fights are really good. The only major problem, really, are some of the salty players, but that's a plus in my book ;D

I agree they are fixing the game. However fixing the game a year later and it's still barely playable, thats not an excuse. If you release a game it needs to be playable. The cause of this is lack of experience in the genre (i'll give them credit for the ambition) but also the overhype and the way too short release date. Ubisoft brought this on themselves and rather than knuckle down and fix the issues which could've been done in six months with player feedback, they focused on new maps, new characters (which made things worse). I'm not blindly hating Ubisoft, while i'm very disappointed, yes i can give credit where it's due. The game is still alot of fun with friends where you mutually agree not to stick to 1 character/ play only top tiers. However for a newcomer to the game without many opportunities to meet people to do that with, that's why i suggest you don't buy the game until it's fixed. If people choose to see any criticism of the game as salt or blind hatred, then that's on them.
