Technical Tweaks to Increase Performance
Aside from your own personal skill and connection there are other factors that may influence how well you do in the game. You may know of these from other games already, but in case you don't, if you haven't done this already be sure to check things like:

  • Making sure things like V-sync are turned off. It adds to input lag, making attacks less reactable.

  • You are using fullscreen mode, not windowed fullscreen. This may also may attacks less reactable with more input lag and less frames.

  • Mess with mouse sensitivity. In the in-game settings, it is set to 10 by default, which always was too much for me. This can cause you to accidentally attack\attempt parries from directions you didn't intend to.

  • Set Dead Zone to 0 or a number close to it, also from mouse settings. It doesn't really have much use and will make it harder for you to defend\attack.

  • Make sure you are playing with 60 FPS. You need those. For Honor's graphics are pretty good indeed, but if you are having problems with reacting to stuff, this will certainly help.

  • If possible also try to use a monitor with high hertz. Low hz monitors - with 60hz for example - will also negatively influence your perform, due to your refresh rate being low.

---------------------

Generally speaking there are a lot of stuff which you can play with in order to improve your performance, aside from the obvious "keep training". I recommend taking a look at the settings in general to see if there's else you'd like to change.

This goes for gamepad as well. You'll notice the difference immediately and it makes parrying lights/other 500ms attacks a breeze.

How much is fullscreen better over windowed fullscreen?

Quite a lot. You'd be suprised.

Personally I wasn't able to parry\deflect 500ms zones and such until I switched to fullscreen.
