A suprising amount of people come from console, I wouldn't call that smurfing.

And honour never applied in the first place, the game isn't called "With Honor"

Meh but it's For Honor, it just sucks how the community turns to trash so quickly at times.

You probably ran into a console player going over to PC and made this useless post bashing the community? Why would anyone "smurf" in FH? There is no competitive rating at all in this game...

How do you know they're smurfing?

I've been accused of it, but I know for sure I'm not. In fact, I'm a Rep 7 that only started playing a month ago after leaving a few months into Season 1.

Some people just have good reflexes, and the basics are really easy to learn. Learn your character, and put up a good fight against the others until you learn theirs and within a month you're just as good as any decent player.

The only people you can't compare to without A LOT of practice are those that know literally every move and combo / common playstyle from each of the characters, but even they make mistakes.

EDIT :: Also, as above says, what would be the point in smurfing? Matches are pretty much completely unaffected by your ranking and skill, so it has almost no effect on who you connect with.

Not sure what "Smurfing" is but I do agree that everyone makes mistakes. Fought a rep 9 Centurion (i didnt even have a rep at the time) in 1v1 Duels and beat him 3-2 and he did make mistakes (so did I). I approach every fight in this game like im gonna get creamed.

Smurfing happens when an experienced player creates a new account\buys the game again with a different account and plays with that instead with his original one.So he pretend to be a "smurf",a newbie, but he really isn't.

What's the point. This game isn't that hard to learn, we're not playing Tekken or any fighting game. New players only need to learn is the timing of parry and avoid unblockable/CC, basically how to punish opponent with max damage, they don't need to learn complicated combo.
Besides what's the point.

Τhey also need to learn max punishes, when gb is guaranteed and when not, that depending on the parry the reward might be bigger, that certain attacks guarantee damage, how dangerous oos is...and more.

For honor might be a broken fighting game, and it doesn't have the depth of other fighting games, but it still has a lot to learn.

Yes, all this can be learned before reaching rep 3. Besides it's already seaon 4, unliike us we didn't know much in season 1 but now we have youtube and articles to guide new players and help them to learn their hero.
The true is we simply don't know how "good " was OP's opponent.

There's zero reason to smurf in this game. You are matched with newbies, veterans, and even amazeball tournament players in their 4stacks... no matter what your MMR is.

In theory it can be learned. But in theory what can be done in other fighting games could also be learned early. It's one thing saying that something can be learned and another actually learning it.Majority of the newbies don't know what they are doing.

I do have to repeat again that of course other fighting games have more depth, and of course it takes more time to learn those, but the difference isn't that large. The real difference between for honor and other fighting games is that those are not broken.

Ranked duel mode is basically a place where the devs troll the players.

1. The mode is dead.
2. They include limited time items that are only obtainable in that dead mode.
3. It's a giant PITA, if not impossible, to get the items, because...#1 (Dev Troll successful).

Ranked 4v4 is less of a troll on the players, so far.

1. It's a dead mode.

It's stupid that if you have a game like csgo for an example and you create a new account you can play cs just because you bought and downloaded it on another account. So I'm glad that fh has a low player base so they won't bring matchmaking and if they will someday add it I hope they'll lock multiplayer until single player and the tutorials are completed.
