One Hit Kill
Hitokiri's 4th Tier Ability
The problem with Hitokiri's 4th Tier ability is in design, which should be removed or the reach of the tracking restricted to just the left / right dodge.

It's taking a skill and turning it into the most toxic support available, a Insta-Kill Gank Skill. You will never see these player 1v1, or 1v2 use the skill, they will run from a fight as soon as they get it to gank someone elses fight.

The idea you can take down a heavy in one hit because you blindsided them with a move they can't interrupt or dodge make for a uneven playing field.

Unless you want to give every character a move like it which i don't suggest.

I have survived being struck by catapults and easily shrugged off raining arrows due talents to buff my defense or heal damage.

Giving an ability which no other ability can prevent unless you are in 1v1 and have a character with a long distance dodge is broken.

My Compromise?

Remove the reach, and make it a short range AoE attack like it's low kick so that it has potential to FF and hit multiple enemies. Thus be able to run into a group or counter a 3v/4v1 by using this ability. Not as a Gank skill.

P.S.

All in all if they are using it to lure it's player base into buying the character, then from a marketing point they are doing a great job. With every new character released they start out horribly broken, then nerfed in the next season after they have maximized profits

If you didn't read the whole post, don't comment.

But to be fair it's a 4th tier perk with the following weakness:

1. You can still die in the process
2. You can miss, just dodge roll near the last moment
3. It kills only 1 guy out of 4, versus ..... ROMAN CATAPULT or ARROW STORM or FIREBOMB which used correctly can kill all 4

Pros:
1. Cool down timer is decent
2. Funny as hell when the enemy is completely caught off guard, super funny when the pro players get a little angry about it.
3. Can still miss

Ah that doesn't seem too bad then ya i've gotten multiple kills with my 4 on different chars and i'm still very much a noob. Thanks for the info though!

I've dodged that move a number of times already. It's very telegraphed.

This is silly, I don't play sakura at all but it's a perfectly balanced tier 4 feat, I think you forget about the catapult, or the fireflask, or how broken highlanders feat 4 is still to this day.

The only way you're dying to sakura's feat 4 is if you're busy, which is when you're supposed to use feat 4s.

This is actually a pretty mediocre t4. Spear storm and Fire Flask is leagues better. Leagues.

You can survive fire flask and catapult easily, you're not going to catch anyone by suprise with those. With abilities you can shrug it off as a heavy. Not to mention when used the enemy moves away to avoid being struck by FF.

So no, they don't compare.
Hitokiri's t4 feat is only effective in gank, granting them a clean kill, while feats like Fire Flask, Spear Storm, Catapult can one shot a whole team, or push them out of objectives completely. It's only somewhat comparable to Pugio or Long bow/Crossbow, which means it's rather weak for a t4 feat. The only redeemable value is that you can use it again if you miss or are interrupted.

Same for the one shot kill we're talking about.

3. Can still miss

1. While using you get a heavy DR buff, so killing is not an option 9/10 times.
2. You can dodge, but that makes it no different than the bow back in season one which had to be nerfed due to the fact it nearly 1 shot most players. The other T4 abilities have little tracking compared to this, so if you are a heavy which has a weak dodge, you are out of luck due to the reach and tracking of this move.
3. It can kill 1 of 4? The other moves don't 100% kill an enemy, most do 60-80% damage at best depending on the health of the class being struck. They also are never going to catch anyone of guard due to the fact there is a big danger radius that shows 3 seconds before it activates, clearing enemy and friendly away which allows for dodging. Where as this ability has no FF or danger radius so it can be used as a support with no risk to allies and no risk to self.

Don't try to down play it.

Homie, did you really just say that fireflask is easy to escape from, and hitokiri's t4 isn't?
Stret May 8, 2019 @ 5:17pm
The move has like no tracking and you want it nerfed?

>long distance dodge

literally any dodge works. Or just roll away

Then you haven't been a heavy trying to dodge it, it has quite a bit of tracking and reach.

I'm not your homie, this is the internet not the ghetto.

And no, i'm speaking of the arrow storm, grenade and catapult.

Though if we are speaking of the fire bomb, it's still easily survivable. Simply use a health ability, use a defense ability, or roll out of the AoE fire.
