Parrying needs a rework
To often I am finding people who parry 95% of everything, and feel more like it's a bot reaction than a human response. Now I've done my fair share of parries, but I feel if this wants to be a fighting game, this mechanic needs a tweek to the light window.

I think so far parrying is ok, it's blocking and rolling that need to be looked at.

Yeah, but still I get the feeling people are using some form of scripting, you shouldn't be able to parry everything that comes your way, especially when you don't see it coming.

Try feinting.

Yeah i'm more along the lines of people using a macro/scripting, a rework would help at least break the current use so they have to actually do it. I know people are out there with skill, but I'm pretty handy with outsmarting them.

I doubt there's any parry scripts. Throw something unexpected at them that by all means, should get parried. Like a top heavy from neutral

Yeah, there is botting, any game on PC has hackers, and I know when I see it.

Are you sure about that? I have nearly 1k hours in the game, and the only cheating I've ever seen was lag switching

Yeah there are those, but you have any player with a combo game like this, use either A script/cheating or B some form of macro. There are ton of videos even people who advertise their own hacks on youtube and such. They exist. A rework would break and make it hard for any macro to work since every lights timing should be different to a degree.

I highly doubt such hacks work. It's a lot harder to make an autoparry script than it is to make wallhacks or aimbots.

It's probably becouse of the new static guard changes. since it's now possible to attack after the 100ms* of a stance switch, people often does a parry input too early, doing an actual heavy instaed of a parry.
I suggest doing a parry input during the last possible timing, it also helps with the new ''hyper-armored-variable-timed-heavy's'' that are becoming more and more used by the devs (also known as lazy game design)

As for the fact that enemies keep parrying everything, there are 3 possible explanations: 1). They have a lot more experience, and due to the MMR reset, you're being matched with rep 100+
2). they are lagging/lag switching that causes the game to became awfully retarded on both ends.
3). you're throwing too many attacks at a consistent pattern, which makes you predictable and easy to parry, i suggest altering your attack/defense differently each time, and feinting more, maybe using parry baits and whiffing light attacks to parry.

That's the best advice i can give ya, hopefully it helps in someway.

[off topic]
*however this brought up an interesting bug, if you block AND input a parry at the exact frame, you will do both (which is probably unlikely to happen in pubs anyway) and it's affected by lag spikes too, very good i'd say, is it? /s

I have Days when I parry almost every attack, also I have Days where I Cant parry almost anything.

You cant blame someone that parries your every attack för cheating, not until u have a proof.

Btw who are you playing

aaaaahahahaha what a bunch of BS xD you know that this game is out for 3 years right? some ppl are playing this game for that long and parrying is easiest shait... guy probably read you like an open book and first thing you do is screeming HAAAAX!!!! thx man you've made my day :D

Dog its just that your being repetitive and they made a read on you for the parry try throwing out more heavies and try not to stick to a pattern. Also try not calling hacks just because someone is parrying you i feel like no one really cares about this game enough to hack in it anymore.
