Why do Hulda's lights go though block?
With other heroes I can understand like hitokiri, lawbringer, and shugoki. They all use enormous weapons that, even when performing a light attack, would go through someones block and not stagger them. But why does Hulda's lights go through block? It would make sense if she was swinging the hammer normally but she has the head of the hammer almost to her fist, it doesn't make sense.

First rule of For Honor, it doesn't matter what weapon and how it is being used, if enhanced lights is what the character needs to be balanced then that's it, for example it would make sense that LB had more Hyperarmor, big guy, big weapon, thick armor, but he doesn't have more of it since he doesn't need it. Now the new hero has 0 openers, the neutral bash doesn't combo into anything, so only options are light or heavy, and a heavy is probably going to get parried, so there you have it, note that enhanced lights means that the attack isn't gonna bounce if blocked, but you still prevent the damage, with this they allow the new hero to do some mix ups even if the light is blocked, that's all. Overall the new hero is probably B tier, if you know how to parry lights it's almost game over for them.

well...her lights are enchanted(so don't bounce off) and apply chip damage when blocked. so no wonder they look like they go through block

It's residual damage just like when blocking heavys, if you block the light it doesn't go through, it deals 3 damage for blocking it instead of 15-18 damage.

Because gameplay and mechanics over hyper realism.
