Not true conq destroys shugo
Yeah I'm not an expert on conq, it was just an example. Surely some conq main could bring a hero he has a hard time playing against on the table.
It seems most people seem to call balance when everyone is good against everyone, which in my personal opinion is impossible to do in this kind of game without giving anyone the same moveset.
Truth is there a lot of people who call new stuff or stuff they don’t want to get used to OP / Broken.
I would call for honor pretty okay and balanced In a lot of things
But this game is unbalanced in the way that certain characters lack viability or are just worse versions of others. With no reason to play them besides fashion.
IE: Berserker/Aramusha Hitokiri/Shugoki Shaman/Peacekeeper
There's no reason to play Shugo, Ara, and Pk when there counterparts are them but better.
Hitokiri has an unblockable mixup infinite combo if they guess incorrectly, and the same trade that Shugo has only with a heavy. Making them a better Shugo.
I would list the others but you know why they're better.

This is not even adressing the misunderstood concept of tier list or the pride put into playing weaker characters against top tier ones. I am sad that Aramusha is arguably the worst character in the game and that Centurion is ass, it doesn't change that Centurion is my favorite character to play in this game and I won't stop playing him.
As long as the diversity and individualism of characters are designed well enough to interest a good amount of people, including myself, I'll go for a game as imbalanced as stuff like UMvC3 or even MvC2.
It'd obviously be a very hard thing to measure empirically - arguably impossible - but it'd still be very interesting. Win rates can't possibly give you the full picture.
Its not super crazy imbalanced nothing thats impossible to fix.
