Do you actually believe this game is so unbalanced?
I mean, what does it even mean. You can't possibly balance any game where characters are diverse. Only way For Honor could be completely balanced and fair would be, if every character had the same ability, movesets and damage.

Do you think, like, LoL is balanced? I mean it's a pretty competitive game, and since it's an E-sport for so long, I think that it should be balanced, no? Well, then I challenge you to go against Yasuo with Twisted Fate. I mean you can defeat him, but it will be a real pain for you.

And I think the same goes with For Honor. Yes, you will have a hard time playing orochi against conq, but then conq will have a problem with... Goki? I guess?

Whatever, you got the idea.

Yeah I'm not an expert on conq, it was just an example. Surely some conq main could bring a hero he has a hard time playing against on the table.

I still believe the balance is better then ever.

It seems most people seem to call balance when everyone is good against everyone, which in my personal opinion is impossible to do in this kind of game without giving anyone the same moveset.

Truth is there a lot of people who call new stuff or stuff they don’t want to get used to OP / Broken.

I would call for honor pretty okay and balanced In a lot of things

Balance means every character has viability. Obviously like every game certain characters counter others. That's balance too and adds random elements to the 1 dimensional skill vs skill fighting the game would be without it.

But this game is unbalanced in the way that certain characters lack viability or are just worse versions of others. With no reason to play them besides fashion.

IE: Berserker/Aramusha Hitokiri/Shugoki Shaman/Peacekeeper

There's no reason to play Shugo, Ara, and Pk when there counterparts are them but better.

Hitokiri has an unblockable mixup infinite combo if they guess incorrectly, and the same trade that Shugo has only with a heavy. Making them a better Shugo.

I would list the others but you know why they're better.

This game is wildly unbalanced but I'd take that over everything being the same any day.

It's called a mirror match. Perfect balance in a competitive game will never exist because it's an utopic ideal. If you want to have such a perfectly balanced game, go back to the era of Internitonal Karate on the NES if you want such a stale decision in your life. I understand the feeling of wanting to have every character to be viable but I will never sacrifice characters' diversity and invidualism for the sake of "equal chance of winning", even if it means some characters must reign over other.

This is not even adressing the misunderstood concept of tier list or the pride put into playing weaker characters against top tier ones. I am sad that Aramusha is arguably the worst character in the game and that Centurion is ass, it doesn't change that Centurion is my favorite character to play in this game and I won't stop playing him.

As long as the diversity and individualism of characters are designed well enough to interest a good amount of people, including myself, I'll go for a game as imbalanced as stuff like UMvC3 or even MvC2.

It would be interesting to know the effect of hero choice on player win rate compared to skill. If players are of more or less equal skill, it obviously comes into play in a big way - but for the average player?

It'd obviously be a very hard thing to measure empirically - arguably impossible - but it'd still be very interesting. Win rates can't possibly give you the full picture.

its pretty balanced for most part. looking at win lose table . But some heroes are pretty bad against others. needs some help.
Its not super crazy imbalanced nothing thats impossible to fix.
For now the priority should be giving heroes something they can use. A relative 'balance' can come later.
