Thank you for reporting this to us.

Does this happen every time or just this once? If it's still going on now the first thing we'd advise is restarting your PC, this should stop this from occurring for the moment.

Not had the music start playing on me in the background, but here lately in order for me to launch the game I actually have to close out of steam, because steam thinks the game is already running, even though it isn't or at least it's not listed in task manager.

Thanks for the extra details.

Just to confirm, when this happens are there any processes at all that might be to do with For Honor? They might be listed as Background Processes.

Ah, I found my issue.
The "forhonor.exe" was closed, but the "splashscreen.exe" was not, I didn't know about that one.

Anywho, gl with your issue.

I'm glad to hear you were able to resolve that issue. Will this occur every time you close the game, where it won't close that other part?

No. I closed out of the "splashscreen.exe" via killing the process, but relaunching and closing the game made the "forhonor.exe" not close out, creating the same issue with Steam thinking the app was already running unless I go in and kill the process. I restarted the PC and it seems to be working fine now, simple fix. It was likely initially caused or related to the game crashing, via a freeze (the game freezes should be a known issue already).

Thanks for the extra details, I'm glad to hear it's no longer occurring.
