Qestion: How to kill yourself?
Hi,
is it possible to kill yourself? So that those very balanced Matches (Team Renown 14 vs 223) end just a little bit sooner?

14 vs 223 aren't even that big of a difference... maybe don't give up that easily :)

On certain maps, you can jump off high ledges and die from the fall, then simply not respawn for the maximum duration (which I think is 60 seconds).

Citadel Gate, High Fort (Zone A), Shard, and Sentinel all have great spots for this. Probably others, too.

@Landwalker: Thanks Ill try that.
@Gaz: A game that ends with 0:32 Takedowns wont be won in the last minute by someone who has very little idea how to play. It is pointless to begin with.

I'm trying to think of the other Dominion maps...

Sanctuary Bridge isn't very good for it. There are a couple of spots where you can jump off ledge or bridges to hard ground below, but they generally aren't high and would require multiple jumps to kill yourself with. More efficient to just go stand next to a Death Ledge and wait for an opponent to help you out.

River Fort has nothing really useful here. You'll need an opponent to environmental-kill you.

On Overwatch, you can kill yourself by jumping off the high bridges leading to Zone A. You can also kill yourself one time in Zone C, by standing on top of a trap door when it opens at the 17:00 mark.

On Forge, there aren't really good suicide options, but there are lots of environmental death opportunities if your opponents are helpful.

On Temple Garden you can jump off of Zone A to either certain or near-certain death. If you survive the jump, just go down to Zone B and let the minions finish you off.

Why we giving tips,

isnt it still a bit of a scummy thing to do to just off yourself rather than fight to the end regardless of the outcome

If I am put with reps 0-5 against a rep 40+ 4-stack ill just leave, no offense to teammates if you do it at the beginning, since they can leave too if they want

Particularly given the game's rather mediocre session stability and the issues that crop up when multiple people leave in quick succession, and given the delightful matchmaking times most people have been having, are you suggesting that it's acceptable to punish other players for merely existing by crashing or otherwise ruining the session, simply because you don't like the team compositions?

I see your point, but in my experience someone will leave anyway, newer players tend to do that (which is understandable to me). I see why you deem this as a negative behavior, but leaving in the beginning 1)Very rarely crashes the session (even if you are the host) 2)Often replaces you with another player fairly quick. Not justifying leaving after the 30 seconds, but this 30 seconds window was made for a purpose. No one plays 4v4 to not have fun, and playing in this situation is very close to having no fun.

Aww but you'd never get to play with me that way! I'm rep 0 and the game always rates my skill as on Par with people that are rep 60 and even 1 guy I met at 234
