Yeah i can block 300ms lights on reaction.
Ubisoft idk if your like tester people for patches are constantly drinking cocaine infused red bull or smth, but for those of us in the 5% - 95% range of reaction times cant block kensei, pk or shinobi lights on reaction (thanks reflex block) let alone punish someone for spamming them, so if you could say like make them how they were when the game was released... you know, back then it was acctualy possible to put your weapon in front of the enmies weapon fast enough so that it wouldnt like slice you up, idk if game engine will allow for that tho.

(also zones are competely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ now, 9/10 times u end up doing a heavy or a light instead of a zone)

Uhm, pretty sure the moves are based on real life. I say based, because obviously this is a game and adjustments have been made. However, they even showcased some guy that was responsible for some of the moves (and getting suited up to be digitized), on a warrior's den I think a while ago.

Anyway, that's a bit off topic I think, but whatever.

Still, my point stands, reaction should have the advantage, not the initial action, because you can choose or take into consideration when to act, but not when to react. And, again, if we can have both great, but right now we don't.

That is simply not true, can you explain than why Warden has a crushing counter, shoulder bash? Why Shinobi has a sickle and sprint trip ability? Or why Raider has an unblockable? Why Highlander has a neck grab? Why does Lawbringer have an impale? Etc.

They are inspired by real life, and motion captured. They are not based on real life medival combat, as this game would be really really boring, if that was the case.
All of these things are true, but parrying in the game is obviously supposed to work as it does in real life. This certain aspect of the game follows rules not of the for honor world, and that's what I've been saying for some time now. No,knights couldn't slide to you and hitting you with their shoulder in real life but they could parry you,in a way similar to how parrying works in for honor.

But for real, does turning off vsync help?I think I've had it on last time I played, maybe I will actually be able to react to pk from time to time now.

And sorry for being rude Shakta, but I am not as patient as I once was ):

No worries, sorry if I was stubborn :)

It really helps to turn it off, what vsync does (double & triple) is that it skips frames making your ability to react to anything really hard. You should always have it turned off, even if you are on a 60/75hz screen (and just make sure to lower the graphic settings so that your GPU does not overheat). If you have vsync on with 60fps, it will make parrying light attacks quite hard in this game (and worst is having triple buffering on the vsync).

I´d advice to get MSI afterburner to monitor your gpu´s temp when you set it off, so it does not overheat. For some reason during the end of dominion games, this game has a tendancy to overheat GPU´s when vsync is off (so you have to keep an eye out for that, if your game crashes or computer restarts). If that happens, lower the graphic settings in the game, and force a temperature on your GPU with for example MSI afterburner.

kk good to know.Thanks!

Im not sure, it will probably make or break this game I think. Soo many people who have quit because of connectivity issues that might return - but on the other hand im worried about having slow servers making it impossible to parry fast light attacks or zones (or doing crushing counters).

I think you can throw realism out of the window as soon as dinky ninjas with two rice farmer sickles can stop a ridiculously huge claymore/kanabo/poleaxe mid-swing as if it were nothing

Admittedly that's a very good point, lol. But parrying speciffically does seem like it's trying to imitate real life parrying. But I am not going to keep pressing on the same point.

Let's just all agree that it would be nice if the devs will keep improving the game and ded servers won't be disastrous

Ye and accelerate their poleaxe over their head in 3 tenths of a second, thats very realistic

Either way the point of the OP still stands

It'd sure make the game a good lot more enjoyable if the meta wasn't consisting of assassins, uncounterably fast lightspam, having awful internet connection and backtracking literal marathons
Comrad YUmad 14/out./2017 às 9:40
Shakta, you would have a point if it wasn't for the fact that against opponent with good latency, parrying everything on reaction is still possible, so we go back to full turtling. If you wanna change the turtle meta, removing time snap ain't the right way.
