No offense but if an Aramusha is certain death to you as a Shaman you are not a good Shaman player.
Yeah cause only the most balanced characters get banned from PC tournies.
That's how I feel about your opinion.
Savage
1) Aramusha
2) Raider
3) Warlord/Highlander
4) Kensei
I mained all the vikings To Rep 5. All other characters to Rep 3. But still those means death to me as a Shaman and I see the point of healing after strike...
WHEN THE SHAMAN SEES BLOOD SHE ATTACK LIKE AN IDIOT YOU JUST NEED TO DODGE OR PARRY
I LITTERALLY TOOKOVER OF 3 SHAMANS AT ONCE BECAUSE THEY MADE ME BLEED ONCE THEY JUMP ON YOU AND MISS...kill.
She still has exceptions to rules that the other characters don't have - namely the following three (that I have encountered):
- Recovery times that are not in line with the rest of the cast, meaning she can resist the Guardbreak that can happen when she gets blocked by Conquerer (something to which Glad was brought into line with the rest of the classes. Uncertain about Aramusha on this one)
- Her zone attack and its ability to ignore the rules of Superior Block, which then can allow her to break your guard, feint into a bleed stab or do another zone attack (especially against Conquerer, which is passive Superior Block unless OOS).
- Her unblockable attack and the ability to swap attack direction AFTER the indicator flashes by feinting (e.g. she swings unblockable heavy from the right, hud flashes for me from the right, I swing to parry, she feints and cancels out my attack with a bleed stab). This one might be a bug, or it could be linked to the first point in that her recovery frames are very quick. I could try to dodge the unblockable, but why it is feintable AFTER the HUD flash is lost on me.
Since Bleed in a all Sure fire way to knock out HP(barring Regen skills and revenge) over time the Bite should Basically Speed it up. Someone like a nobushi can Prime a target full of bleed and have a shaman come in for the kill. Taking out a large chunk of HP they were due to lose anyway. Like a reverse Demon Embrace.
And besides the tackle is easy to inturrupt so Unless you were alone or seperate form the team it would be foolish for shaman to attempt a bite in the middle of 1vX combat.
Also agree she should have a bit less hp, something equal to the other assassins(unless she already IS)
I don't necessarily agree. I use pk regularly and the 1v1 in Dom or Duel are pretty much 50/50. Because of the ability to feint those chains blocking is relatively difficult as is the switch up in timings for the dodge counter. I'm not bad for sure, I'm pretty good but I will say I play on PS4 (Kd 2. something W/L 65%). I tend not to spam and am very aggressive, I tend not to keep my range so that might be the issue, but the spaminess of the Ara is... frustrating. For a game that is often dictated by a spam exploit making a character who's gimmick is an infinite chain (definition of a spam) is irksome. He's a very good assassin/vanguard hybrid and in the right hands it's very powerful. His damage output is high on heavies and he does get guaranteed heavies and the chains are objectively deadly without an allguard. His own has excellent utility even from Glads and Centurions, if anything I would remove that but I probably don't know ♥♥♥♥ (^^)
Shaman is stronger than everyone I think, but a good Arumusha is a worthy foe for any class and any hero. I agree that he'll be learnt to ♥♥♥♥, but I don't think that will make him any less effective in the hands of a decent Aramusha player. I always respect an Aramusha until I've beaten them
