Heroes and their Counters

Got bored while queuing for ranked duel tournaments, so I decided to put together a list of all the heroes and what, from what I can tell, are their "counter-picks"—i.e. the hero who most strongly counters them.

Not saying it's definitive, and people are welcome to discuss/debate.

I think this is a pretty good representation of Conq's wonky situation

He's seemingly generally considered low tier but his horribly polar matchups make people also think he's "viable" - only against specific heroes though and since you can't see which hero your opponents pick it's a luck thing really

Also good luck finding a tourney at this point, I'm stuck in Platinum I and haven't found any touney in a week even when I let the game try to find someone for 45+ minutes. RIP golden U/V/vaccuum brush ornaments

Valkyrie's counter is Gladiator?Mind explaining that a bit,it's not that I doubt you,I'd just like to hear why'd you would think that

My guess is because Gladiator can be really aggressive against basically everyone and she especially is plagued by having next to counterplay and all

To be fair I can't think of a hero that Valkyrie does notably well against in any aspect, she's just not good enough

To elaborate, the reason for Gladiator specifically is that assassins have an easier time handling Valkyrie's spear sweep "mix-up" due to reflex guard, and Gladiator's peerless ability to penetrate any attempt at defense by his opponent. And of course, Valkyrie suffers the same problem against Toe Stab that non-assassins suffer against Spear Sweep, and Toe Stab is much harder to avoid in the first place.

About shinobi. In my experience, good Highlanders can do a lot more trouble to shinobi, than Pk. You can bait Pk to do dash attacks and deflect them, but you can't do it with Highlander. So if we take the situation with average similar skill PK/Shinobi/HL, I think HL can make a lot
more trouble(I do not consider zone glitch there)

It's just that initially,since valkyrie does have some pretty fast lights,I was thinking that if played correctly she should have an edge over gladiator,at some cases at least.

as a shinobi main i can with 100% accuracy that highlander is the counter pick to shinobi against pk it isnt even that bad of a matchup you both spam and dodge and 1 will win by spamming harder than the other
