He was a bit wrong, but not by much.

Warlord's side lights are 500 ms, so he gets it for 2 directions. His lights have superior block from all directions too.

Warlord gets hyper armor on his heavies, and his combo heavies are 700ms, relatively fast for a heavy.

Warlord's zone is 600 ms, not the fastest, but still great for a non-assassin.

Headbutt got nerfed, but not the actual headbutt itself, just the dodge that comes before it. Reacting to the dodge isn't a good idea, so it will still be an at least average opener.

His running charge is 400 ms. It is the same speed as PK zone, except you can't block it. Not a definite 50/50, but close enough.

Warlord did get heavily nerfed, but for the most part he needed heavy nerfing.

Also, at one point, people on reddit were up in arms because someone found out Warlord had better feint windows. I don't know how true that is because I couldn't find it again, but if it is true, then that is another advantage.
His side lights are also 12 damage, so they're tied for the lowest damage in the game. If you can block a light attack from Valkyrie, you can deal with Warlord's lights. Superior Block Light is a nice little bonus but let's be honest, it's not a huge thing.

Hyper-armored heavies are nice if you can mess up people's timing enough to trade. You can't use it on reaction (and if you could, why wouldn't you just parry?). And with the damage nerf, Warlord's trades in general are pretty bad even if he does pull it off. Having hyperarmor on his combo'd heavies seems pretty worthless to me, outside of, perhaps, gank-defense.

His zone is one of the best in the game, that's true.

Crashing Charge is actually pretty bad. It's laughably easy to counter, has terrible tracking, and with the damage nerf it's not even that good for wall splats. It's useful for, perhaps, ledging someone who's in a gank, but even then the tracking is a real problem. Did you know you can literally be immune to Crashing Charge by turning your back to Warlord? It just rolls off you.

The better feint windows is true enough.

Let's look at what else the bozo said: His headbutt is getting nuked into the dirt by all appearances, his parry counter is getting a massive nerf and most certainly does not put you OOS anymore, and I have no idea what he could possibly be referring to by "excellent OOS punish" because Warlord never had an excellent OOS punish (at best it was maybe a bit above average, and that was pre-nerfing).
If I have to turn my back to a move in order to bug it out, I might as well start unlock tech'ing as well.

You don't have too, the charge tracking is crap, you can dodge it easily. Turning your back will just garantee the charge fails. That's how ineffective Warlords charge is/was.

He will still be better than most of the characters after the nerfs, a good Warlord will still beat you silly, a bad one wont. Good changes, and not the doom that people here might think it will be. Having 5 less damage off his heavies, when he still has hyper armor and comparing him with Valk? Last time I checked Valk does not have hyper armor on her heavies. And she does not have Warlord feint windows. He will be in A tier, but he will have to change his gameplay from the cheese to actually playing his full arsenal. The two characters that will be better than him on paper is Cent-PK. Warden vs Warlord is still not set in stone, the matchup after the nerfs. Neither is Raider vs Warlord.

Why do people even bring up superior block and hyper armor? Superior block is basically completely useless for all characters and hyper armor is only good for trades, which have basically been made useless by damage nerf. I mean, try trading as highlander and as warlord after the nerf.

Well...warlord actually has a healthpool unlike highlander.

So you think Warlord trading is uselss now that he has 5 less damage on them? When he still has more hp than most of the cast? Yeah you will have to learn what to trade and not to trade, and you will have to learn how to use Warlords good feints and mixups that he has.

I´ll try Warlord after the nerfs, since atleast he wont be stupidly OP anymore. If you want, there is still Cent if you like easy wins.

I think WL just need one more hit to finish his enemy. And 1 hit can play huge role in close fights. BTW I think with new patch he still be good.
(Like ez wins ask your enemy to play with Cent)

The charge is 400 ms. You can't block or parry it. Warlord can run and do a normal gb instead.

It isn't a real 50/50 but it is very close.
