It's definitely a driver issue, because I did manage to get it to work, when I rolled my nVidia drivers back to 378.78.
But this is not an acceptable solution, because most of my other games don't work with that driver version. So, I can either play For Honor, on the old drivers. Or update my drivers, and enjoy all of my other games.
PC Specs:
Core i7-6700K
GeForce GTX 1070
8 GB Ram
Windows 10
It seemed like Windows or something else restarted the GPU as soon as it reached the 70°-80°C mark, because it was "not working correctly", even though my GPU is designed to go up to 90°C without any problems. Windows actually notifies you about this restart at the bottom right corner, but it already disappears when you get thrown onto Desktop during the crash. You have to Alt+Tab as soon as the screen freezes for a sec and your game is about to close itself to even see it (kinda retarded).
In the Global WattMan settings of the AMD GPU software I set the max temperature value to 69°C (hehe) so it doesnt reach the 70°C anymore. Be sure that For Honor is on the list of the affected games, if not simply add it.
I don't have any crashes since.
omg stop necroing you dimwit
it just never works,
I tried reinstalling the game, the GPU driver, restarting the PC,

My PC-
Acer Predator 17 (Gaming Laptop) G9-792

i7-6700 HQ
Please Help.
Hey, DeeSeries97!
As UbiJurassic mentioned above, we recommend reaching out to either Nvidia or Ubisoft Support [support.ubi.com] if this is a persistent issue. They will have the tools to help you figure out why this problem is occurring.
Also, since this thread continues to be necro'd every few months, I am going to go ahead and lock this thread.
