It's just a terribly petty reason to disqualify a game on.
Any way. Singleplayer isn't even that much of the game. I think I played through it on realistic in 2 sessions. Just use a guide so you find all collectibles and get all the free stuff.
if you want to play as *enter gender you wish you would play here* you can still do so in MP.
I too think it's annoying that once you've chosen your characters appearance it is final, but only because you had 3 variations to pick from and what gender they could be. I'd like to play the game as a male Warden, female Raider and male Orochi, but I can't and it's a shame, since I'll never be able to hear the other actors voices then (which just mean they wasted their lines, since once you choose, you'll never hear the other).
Hopefully they'll allow you to change your characters appearance in the Story Mode as you like, a feature that should have been in the game from the start.
If you want to play MP, sure, you can change your character at will, but not everyone is interested in MP.
It's probably not worth it for just the SP, though, I'll agree with that. Probably gonna pass on this.
Second: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAH, I mean... "meow".
