However, there is a BIG epidemic of cheesekeepers who got to rep 10 through spam and never had to learn the basics of the game, such as parrying and CGBing. It's quite hilarious except for when they spam you down with indicator zone attack bug.
Nevertheless, I'm trying to be less cranky right now, so:
While I don't play PK, I find the most effective approach to most Valkyries is to block to break their chains and prevent them from sweeping you. Since most Valks rely on a lot of light attacks, with a bit of attention they're actually pretty easy to parry, and then you can basically do whatever you want with them. You don't need to dodge her lights. The only thing I bother trying to dodge is the shield slam or the sweep—these both have enough recovery time for you to squeeze in a GB, and since you're PK, that can really mess anyone up.
With this in mind I maintain my woodchipper proposal.
Cheesekeepers are vilified. admitting to being one and you get what you deserve really.
ive heard complaints about kensai sadly :( (kensai main)
same with orochis in my book.
no one complains about orochis.....are you kidding?

This is the same thing that happened in WoW with rogues. People will hate on any class which employs dirty trick moves to win. Don't stop playing PK if you like it and others don't. Just be nastier with it. If you are the last one alive, run around till they rage. PK has the speed to do that.
I PK main but I didn't know I was OP until I see articles on it with people crying like kids who got their bottoms spanked. Sure at times PK can be really good, but often times if I let one blade land, I'm next to dead. No matter the gear set. Usually because players are that much better geared. I really don't have time, nor do I feel like, sitting in matches all day. Nor getting champion status (until they make it permanent).
Orochis I can agree with being more OP from a PK perspective just because they have good mobility like a PK and can spam their moves. Aside from shield enemies, they tend to be the ones I hate dealing with. Risk for reward vs them is just so low. Even when I get a decent advantage going. One hit, there goes half the hp bar.
I suspect a lot of the hate and OP cries is due to PKs with some high level blades as they gear up. If you aren't geared well enough, they'll just cut right through you. Same for PKs vs high geared characters. Which is the biggest issue with this game. Either make an MMO or don't make an MMO, this middle of the road stuff is always wonky.
Just watched the video in that article on Kotaku about PKs being OP. Honestly I could not see why the video maker was making a fuss. It did not at all show PKs as being OP, in fact it shows what I've known forever that you die fast if you take hits. The only real arguement in it was the Revenge attack but hey...dodge, back away! Freaken morons just running up to a revenging PK player.
90% of the time a call for something OP and needing to be nerfed is just due to people being too lazy or too stupid to figure out how to fight it.
The answer to your question is literally "git gud", nearly every attack valkyrie does is rather easy to parry, which I mentioned in the second comment of this thread. Practice versus the level 3 bot in the "how to play" section, which is a valkyrie, and you'll see what I mean.
What more do you expect or want? People not coming with snide remarks over someone playing one of the the lowest-effort highest-success classes in the game :^)?
