He is NOT a high tier character. If is such a good character, why aren't his pick rates higher? You know how many Conqs I've seen since release after 86 hours of play? Less than a dozen. And why? Well, I'll tell you.

For Honor is a FIGHTING game. Not and a hack and slash. Like any fighter, the key to winning at higher levels of play is mixing up the opponent. But guess what?

HE. HAS. NO. MIXUPS. Once I attack, I'm committed to it. And you know what really sucks? Conqs have some of the slowest/most telegraphed moves in the game, meaning parries, parries and more parries.

"Oh, but the key is in the shield charge. You mix up doing that or dashing up and guard breaking. "

NO. You wanna know why? Because anyone that dosen't have the reaction speed a retarted turtle can DODGE it on REACTION. You know how many people actually get hit by a raw shield charge at higher levels of play? ALMOST NO ONE. Because all it takes is a very SMALL amount of effort to recognize the shield bash animation/glowing orange indicator and say"Oh, I should dodge now." If I simply dash up, you know what good players do? Nothing, or a light attack to my face because, again, it's slow enough to REACT to it. A Conq's charge is as slow as a Warden's, but can't be cancelled.

"Yeah, but the Conq does so much damage!"

You know what I saw? I WARDEN'S LIGHT COMBO DOING MORE DAMAGE THAN A CONQ'S UNCHARGED HEAVY. Without charging up, the Conq has almost no damage per hit. It takes TWO full wind ups of the flail to exceed a Warden's, and many other character's, strongest heavy, which are both faster and can be cancelled for a mixup. And even then, it only does FIVE more damage.
