How to beat unblockable Valkyrie combo?
So, I seem to have 2 problems in this game: The shugoki's insta-murder chiropractor move, which I've learned to dodge quite well, and the Valkyrie's 4 / 5 hit combo where she charges (unblockable), then stabs left, right, then does the spear sweep to trip you, and then does the top / thrust when you're on the ground.

I'm pretty sure I'm hitting all the right block timings, but I can never seem to interrupt it on a non-Conquerer character, even against level 3 bots. Are her hit cues off, or is there some way to interrupt literally any of those strikes? Dodging doesn't seem to work very well, because apparently her helmet is a heat-seeking missle that follows you even with a properly timed dodge, and if that hits you, you're open for the follow-up combo. Any tips / tricks? :P Thanks!

Shield bash and sweeps have to be dodged. Timing can be a little tight, but if you do you basically get a free punish out of it.

The only times any of the Valkyrie combos are 100% hit is the first hit after a sweep and one sweep during a specific combo after getting knockdown from a throw while exhausted.

just dodge to the side when she's doing the sweep, you have so much time to do it.

Gotcha. I'll give that a shot.

I love how much i get playing as a valkyrie and I also get "so OP nerf that" rather than "how can I counter that?"

i pretty much landed a 8-9 hit combo on a orochi without breaking out of it and he did nothing to get out of it, despite having multiple opportunity to block or dodge.

parry - heavy [x] - shieldbash - light - sweep - pounce [x] - light - sweep -heavy [x]

[x] being the only moves he was helpless against

Valky attack faster than some characters guard speed (thx you ubisoft) but the spear sweep can be easy kited unless you are pushed into a wall.

back dodge is easier, but side dodge will also work and usually allow a quicker punish.

I found it to be surprisingly easy to parry aggresive valks. Thay also tend to use overheads. A lot. When i face the valk that playes les agresive and more mindegamey \ reactive , then it becomes interesting.

I don't think i contributed to the conversation in any meaningful way

parrying a valk is pretty much the best way to stop them in their track lol. The hunter's pounce tends to be the go to opener and if you show a valk they can't have that, they will ahve to rethink their approach. that and just dodge the damn sweep.

the way people are thinking would make you think the sweep is the fastest move in the game that is impsoible to dodge and is the instant win button.

exactly. But people rather call it OP than learn that. :/

I don't think I've ever seen anyone dodge and punish a valk sweep.

I've been punished for my sweeps many times. Usually but skilled players who know how to fight Valkyrie.

I prefer to ask for advice on how to counter things, rather than blame the game or system. That's also why I play classes I have difficulty against, so that I know what their frame of mind is when they're fighting.

You don't, her sweep is the safest attack combo in the game, right next to the one two headbutt from warlord
