I'd love to see more because it was thin but enough context to set the mood I felt.
I'm not sure if the cataclysm was linked to them, more a catalyst for her to carry out her army building or something? It provided the desperate times and the ingredients for her conflicts.
What's "going to happen" is what we're playing right now. The story set up the game as it is now.
Civilians are implied, but the focus isn't on them, of course. I mean, someone had to provide food for a thousand years, so every side had at least farmers. The vikings even had a seed storage, remember?
As for this:
Because the Black Stone Legion popped up long after the cataclysm had happened. This isn't some magically-backed masterplan for war. The cataclysm happened, brought the factions together, they fought for a thousand years and finally were on the cusp of peace. Somewhere during that thousand-year war, the Iron Legion splintered into several smaller forces, one of which was the Blackstone Legion.
Peace, is overrated. Not to mention boring...

True, specially when the stronger kills womens & children, internt people in camps and kill them with gas or practice the bayonette stabs on living toddlers
with great cutscenes though :P
We do. Just because you dont get it doesnt mean its not there.
That said, I just might retell the story in less opaque way when I get more time...
