[Spoilers]So,at the end of the Story Mode...
Is really bland and unispired.Basically, Samurai & Knights start to fight each other again, even knowing they were fighting togheter to eliminate the Black Stone Legion, the one who caused all the discord around the lands, then the Vikings join the party and the battle between the 3 factions begins (again). At the end Ayu,Stigandr & Cross meets togheter with the idea to take the so seem impossible mission to bring peace back in the lands. So thats all? Nothing else? We need to wait for "For Honor 2" to know what is going to happen?

Also, taking aside the story mode,I cant really take anything "seriously",i mean, where are the politics, diplomacy, the civilians and so on? So there was a 4° faction that only interest was to keep the war for no plausible reason? At least try to link the Black Stone Legion with the cataclysm that bring the 3 factions togheter.. but no,was too much complicated

what id like to see is when they do the DLC nonsense stuff i hope they will add onto the campagin a little bit more to see what happens for their peace missions sorta thing.

I think it was meant to provide context for why people are fighting and it's more of a tutorial for how the game works than an actual campaign.

I'd love to see more because it was thin but enough context to set the mood I felt.

I'm not sure if the cataclysm was linked to them, more a catalyst for her to carry out her army building or something? It provided the desperate times and the ingredients for her conflicts.

Just to make things clear: Yes, the story is shallow, but:

What's "going to happen" is what we're playing right now. The story set up the game as it is now.

Civilians are implied, but the focus isn't on them, of course. I mean, someone had to provide food for a thousand years, so every side had at least farmers. The vikings even had a seed storage, remember?

As for this:

Because the Black Stone Legion popped up long after the cataclysm had happened. This isn't some magically-backed masterplan for war. The cataclysm happened, brought the factions together, they fought for a thousand years and finally were on the cusp of peace. Somewhere during that thousand-year war, the Iron Legion splintered into several smaller forces, one of which was the Blackstone Legion.

Well, even the end of the campaign took place six years before the in-game "present day," so we do know what happened to the peace missions of Cross / Ayu / Stig: They failed.

The new characters could each get one singleplayer mission.

Not even all of the existing characters get a single player mission. Which in my mind is the biggest shortcoming of the campaign. How hard would it have been to throw in a mission for Conqueror, Berserker, Nobushi, and Shugoki?

Conflict creates strength. Peace breeds weakness. Always been true. So that is reason enough for someone to want war. Why do people always think there has to be some deep meaning behind everything.

Peace, is overrated. Not to mention boring...

True, specially when the stronger kills womens & children, internt people in camps and kill them with gas or practice the bayonette stabs on living toddlers

Do we really have to argue with the pseudo-philosophical sociopath? I suggest ignoring them.

Slaughter is different than conflict. As conflict is a struggle and slaughter is easy. Like comparing squashing a bug with fighting a bear... But your intention is well meant. But yes, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. And if it does kill you... well, you're not very strong.

Campain is weak. Seriously, we don't have a solid answer why samurai with knights and vikings fight against samurai with knights and vikings. Like the R6S, this game is good only in mechanic, but the lore itself is poor.

Story Mode is just a tutorial to teach you how to play the game, and introduces some of the classes for you to try out. Maybe it's wrong to actually call it "Story Mode" because the story part is hardly there. It's pretty much just an introduction to the real game, which is the pvp part.

We do. Just because you dont get it doesnt mean its not there.

That said, I just might retell the story in less opaque way when I get more time...
