having dedicated servers wont magically fix your bad internet connection. if you have slow internet its still going to be slow on a server the game is hosting.

Wow....someone gets it^ I'm not an expert at networking or net code. But I have 150 down 50 up and I have never once played in a laggy match. I have been kicked from a match twice in total ever from a host migration (out of probably 200 matches) but other than that this game gives me nothing but stellar performance. If other people also have a good connection and ISP but have lag matches..then I'm not sure what the issue is :s

Servers will still be better with a slow connection: In the current game each peer sends it's data to all other peers, so if you play domination that is 7 other players. Since upload is typically slower than download having a decent download does not mean that you will not suffere lags. With a dedicated server you would only send your data to the server which would send it to the other clients, hence requiring less upload.

I am a streamer and have a consistent download and upload speeds, I get constant lags and disconnects only in For Honor. Dedicated servers will clearly fix something. Also people complain about lagswitching. By the way, is it confirmed by ubisoft its comming?

countless people have mentioned having serious connection issues with this game despite having stable/fast internet themselves. just because you arent having the same problem doesnt mean others arent. i dont see why this is so difficult for people to understand.

look the lag is not the only issue here. Any time you render code on user machine (which P2P does) its exposed to be tempered with making it that much easier to cheat. In addition to you now needing a good connection and a decent hardware to be able to host a good match. All of this could have been very easily mitigated with a dedicated server. Why a triple A title that demands a full price is not equipped with the proper multiplayer is beyond me. There is simply no reason for this other than a cost saving measure. You gain absolutely nothing by utilizing P2P network.

If they had dedicated servers the people with ♥♥♥♥ net will suffer more then p2p servers. People love complaining about everything so it doesn't matter what ubisoft does people will still cry.
