For Honor

Why do People cry in 2vs2 if you gank?
If you want "Honorfull" 1vs1 Games there is actually, and im not joking im dead serious, a Game Mode called 1vs1 Duells. There you can play and practice all day long in Honor.

Im just saying this Because, i always meet cry Babies and those wannabe Honorfull Human Beeings in 2vs2 that always play like Angels in a Game Mode that is supossed to be a Group Fight.

Just had a Game with my Wannabe Honor Team Mate, i beat my Enemy and rushed to help my "Teammate", result was he backed up and watched me die and at the end he died aswell?

I mean wtf? If you want 1vs1 go ♥♥♥♥ing Play 1vs1 Duells and not 2vs2

Rule 1: Every fight must be a 1v1 only. Pretty straightforward, this is usually what everyone thinks of in regards to fighting with honor.

Rule 2: No back stabs or sucker punches, this includes during executions. I've gone back and forth on this but I've been convinced that if you managed to succeed at killing your opponent with a heavy, you should be allowed your extra health.

Rule 3: No running. When you fight with honor, you stand your ground until you can't stand any more. This also includes running from the match! No matter how mad you are, a warrior with honor does not rage quit or disconnect from a battle. (This does not forbid repositioning a short distance to a safer area free of ledges, spikes etc.)

Rule 4: No Feats. If your opponents are letting you 1v1 your way out of a 4v1 situation, respect them by not throwing a volley of arrows into the audience.

Rule 5: No Revenge. This is STRICTLY for Duel mode. Any other mode, if you have fought multiple opponents, revenge is kosher.

Rule 6: No Toxicity. Everyone loves a little good natured trash talk, but an honorable warrior treats his opponents with respect, even if they are noobs who need to git gud.

Rule 7: If you die, you die with honor. ABSOLUTELY NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TO THE PERSON THAT KILLED YOU. Ever. Regardless of honor, this is just a lifestyle you should adopt

Rule 8: If you break any of these rules, all honor disagreements become null and void. Prepare for the wrath of their team.

Rule 9: If even one player does not agree to an honorable fight, all expectations of honor should go out the window.

Reddit sent its regards.

Rule 1: There are no rules.

If you're looking for "Honor" you can simply play 1v1.

Others think everyone should use any means available to achieve their goal, whatever are their reasons. For some, as they're standing by your 'duel', it's only your fault when you don't win, whatever the final outcome is. For others, it's basically conspiring with the enemy. In the end both are completely arbitrary. Just as there is nothing preventing some from watching their team mate get slaughtered, there is no system in place forcing them to interfere. Everything which is not forbidden is allowed.
I would also add that, for some people, standing by and watching is doing what they think is best in order to win the match.

For example, I hate being even on the "right" side of a 2v1. As a Lawbringer main, my best combos require a lot of grabbing and pushing, but in a "gank" my allies invariably either knock the enemy out of my grab (or out of my "grabbable area" or whatever, the point being that they disrupt my patterns by hitting the enemy and thus actually benefit the enemy), or they hit me with friendly fire and disrupt my attacks, or they get in between me and the enemy and block my shoves and grabs altogether. Meanwhile, the enemy is basically just pumping out Revenge Mode.

Unless "interfering" can result in a one-hit kill, I'd argue that for me the best path to team victory is usually to leave each other alone. Getting in the way of each other is sub-optimal.
But that is a completely different sentiment. You have calculated that you aren't helping if you interfere, so you didn't interfere. The problem starts when someone interferes and the enemy goes "REALLY1111" in chat.

Personally I'm just sick and tired of all the spineless cowards who say 1v1 at the start then change their minds when they lose, which happens far too often, this game is good but it has many many flaws, easy to fix ones but i doubt they will.

My main issue is the guard break, especially during a 2v1 its so easy just to spam gb without concequence and cheap someone from full health off the side for an insta win button. 2v1 situations i've been in i've been kicking the ass of the 2 easily blocking everything and all it takes is just 1 gb and throw and you done for. The window for counter is way to small, I've read they fixing it and I hope they do.

I personally just wish people had more of a spine in this game lol, ironic a game called "For Honour" and there is so little found in people.

Why do everyone want to 1v1 in a brawl anyway ??? There is a mode specifically for 1v1. And it's less laggy too because there are less ppl.

More fights? more experience? Diff play styles?
1v1 is good but when you can have the same experience and fight 2 different classes in 1 match its more effecient.

Fair enough. Frankly, I have zero sympathy for anyone who makes that complaint, regardless of whose team they're on. I've evaluated the situation and made a decision, knowing that other people may reach different decisions. I'm not going to salt on my opponents if they try to gank me, and I'm not going to "support" a teammate who salts at them. I'm also going to give no cares if someone on the opposing team does the same.

Basically my whole attitude towards almost everything (except the Warden Cheese-Grab) is *Shrug*.

You missed out no reviving a fallen team mate in a 1v1

So far I have only encountered honorable people in 2v2's in all my hours of playtime.

We always ask people for honor or not at the start of a match. If they decline, sure.
But if they agreed and still 1v2 us, that's just being a cu nt.

You and I must share Phoenix's luck. Maybe it's a regional thing. Maybe not. But I have only encountered a small number of "dishonorable" brawl players. Usually the "worst" I run into are the ones who don't let me finish an execution animation on their teammate before jumping in. =P

Pretty much every 2v2 is a dishonourable one. Mostly towards the end, salty players who cant take losing and must 2v1 during last match or cheap throw off side, it always happens.

This might come as a surprise, but I have been "honorable" in all brawls. Do I consider myself weak, selfish and treacherous for it? Yes, but that's besides the point:)

The problem with introducing arbitrary etiquette is - that it's arbitrary.

See, I would be the first to hop on some new king of the hill duel tournament mode where you observe and cheer and wait for your turn. Because I like the format.

But, I stopped playing 2v2 because it makes no sense.

I played perhaps ~50 brawls. Amount of those without complications: ZERO.
And when I say complications, I don't mean one team being "honorable" and the other team having none of that. No. I mean things like both teams agreeing to be "honorable" and then one of them clutching a gank at 2:2 in rounds.

I am not exaggerating. It's literally zero.

The worst one was where the enemy team was going along with their "honorable" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long after they stopped being "honorable".
They insisted on the "honor" approach, I was like sure, fine. So they wait, we wait, yeah, wooh. And then, of course, when the score tightened a bit, I killed my dude, their guy killed my teammate, I am waiting for the guy to come, he goes and revives his teammate. I go "lul wtf", to which I get a killing blow into my head while I was idling, very visibly and obviously waiting for an answer. After that, they type "it's still 1v1". Implying if I don't execute the dude, I am still to fight them both. So, basically, I could fight them infinite number of times.

And all of that is valid. Which is why you don't mess with the established ruleset in a public setting in the first place and don't add notions.
