A Dishonorable Game for Dishonorable People

"For Honor" was a poor choice of name for this game and I think the fact that the developers at ubisoft programmed bots to try to push you off cliffs and never asked themselves if, "hey, maybe we shouldnt give people such dishonorable tactics in a game called For Honor?" I find that whenever people seem to bring up the fact that this game is not about honor its about winning fanboys just say, GIT GUD SCRUB, as if that is an argument in favor of Ubisofts consistent ♥♥♥♥♥how of game balance. Why are assassins in a game called "For Honor"? Why is poison and bleeding attacks in a game called "For Honor"? Why does the game called "For Honor" encourage throwing people off cliffs, into pits, and over ledges? Why do ubisoft make a game that doesn't want you to think startegically about every attack but just spam guard break until the enemy is dead while they use their emote on their corpse to show how much better they are than them at the game. Why am I punished for being an agressive combatant when assassins constantly just dodge and attack at the same time making fighting them a boring chore instead of an epic battle. Assassin characters dont make games better for anyone except those who play them. Nobody enjoys playing against assassins or fighting an assassin or being killed by an assassin, the only people who like assassins are assassins. Why is countering an attack so easy but countering the most overpowered ability, guardbreak, is significantly more challenging. "For Honor" is not as fun as it should be, it is an excersize in futility as it forces you to go to the dark area of dishonor. Eventually all the ♥♥♥♥ is to much and you start throwing people off cliffs yourself and start spamming the same combo over and over again. "For Honor" is a game that forces dishonor, there is nothing more painful than kicking someones ♥♥♥ only to lose because they managed to grab you that one extra time and throw you into a small pool of water.

Imagine if in "Mortal Kombat X" the enemy could instantly win by just throwing you off the map.

You do not need to be good at this game, you just have to be able to click the middle mouse button twice.

I am honestly trying to work out if you are being serious with all this or not. If you dont like the mechanics dont play the game, nobody is holding a gun to your head and nobody cares that you dont like it.

not really needed. you can lo0ok at what is in the game. how the bots are programmed. all you mentioned above. it's very clear what ubisoft thinks of your personal code of honor.

I always compliment my enemy even if he throws me off the cliff because he managed to pull that off. I'm not giving many chances to do it. That means I'm honorable. But if I throw the other person off and he is raging, he's dishonorable, because he can't take the loss like a man.

I am not even that fond of the game personally but I didnt feel the need to throw a hissy fit on the internet because I was bad at the game.

Yes, no game should have "honor" in its name. Even in board and card games, people will do everything inside the rules to destroy you fast.

It's a game, not real life. The same people who cheese you in-game and laugh would probably offer you a hand if you ran out of gas in some road or needed help with your homework.

Did you sincerely thought this game would be any different from all the others ever released on Earth just because of a word some nerd dev chose for his game's name?
