Can't start game, driver version not supported
I've tried to update my intel card drivers after seeing this message, but it says that I have the most recent drivers available for the device??

An error occured!

Your graphics card does not meet minimum requirements or there was an error during initialization.
Error: Driver version not supported. Please update your graphic's driver.
(Intel Driver Version: 10.18.14.4578 Release: 15.36)

The hotfix today has caused this issue for a number of people, some that could play before even. I hope they fix it, seeing as I had a week of working game then they hotfix it to become unplayable, after I can no longer get a refund I might add.

It seems to me like the issue is pretty damn self explanatory.
"Your graphics card does not meet minimum requirements"
Intel cards are not listed in the minimum requirements.
Next time check to make sure you meet the minimum requirements before buying the game and you can avoid issues like this...

You clearly didn't read the rest of the problem. It says that the driver version is not supported although people have played the game before this hotfix and it was working fine? Mocking the driver version works just fine and I can play the game at 60 fps. I think I meet the requirements just fine.

For the people still experiencing this issue, try this. It worked for me.

"Okay, here's the temporary workaround for Intel HD users that cannot get the game to launch even while using the newest drivers.

Obviously this comes with no warranty and could cause issues for you. That said, I think it's unlikely.

Install the newest intel drivers.
Restart your computer after installing the drivers.
Open regedit (press the windows key + r, type regedit, press enter).
Press f3. Type in "pc_release_major" (no quotes). Press enter.
Press enter to edit the "pc_release_major" key. Check the "decimal" box. Change it to 15 if it isn't 15 already.
Press ok. Go to the "pc_release_minor" key right below and double click it. Change it to 45 (decimal).
Go above in the list to the "DriverVersion" key. Change it to "21.20.16.4590" (no quotes).



After that, it should work instantly.

Once Ubisoft fixes this silly issue, you should probably just reinstall the drivers again to fix the version number.

It's strange because Intel isn't my dedicated graphics card. :/

That's the strange part. It was working fine before, but now it's pointing at my Intel. Once the game starts, Nvidia kicks in and intel sits back. At the splashscreen it is detecting intel before nvidia.

Nor do you seem to be aware of the universal knowledge that Intel cards are not meant for gaming and never will be anywhere near Nvidia or AMD in terms of performance.
Just because you CAN play it does not mean you are SUPPOSED to play it.
Don't expect a whole lot of support from Ubi on this matter in the future. (and don't be surprised when your workaround stops working; or breaks another program on your computer)
