Normal move + dodge, also need to be in guard mode. As -Skimmer- said, probably better to test on lv3 bots, could also just make automatic and practice while bot lvl grows in duel mode ( time consuming bit effective). As starting out on lv3 bots will frustrate you with their relentless and unfair approach.
so i no need to press down the LS before i choose my direction. it will be just direction + dodge.
I assume there is no need for blocking stance RS for deflect
Actually choosing direction first and then just taping your dodge button(spacebar on PC) just before the blow connects is the better approach. And no, your blocking stance has no effect on it.
you don't have to choose a direction. I just dodge in the direction of where the attack is coming from.
I meant its easier to hold one button and tap the other one instead of tapping two at once.
Whatever works. I just let the deflect happen as the timing is quite quick.
the red marker which shows the direction of the attack flashes up shortly before the hit connects. that's when you have to do it
