just dash into the attacking direction before it hits you

Dodge in the direction the attack is coming from: note the timing is a bit harder than parrying, best to practice on lvl 1 bot ( though after that just do some PvAI duels).

If want could do some practice.

Actually lvl 3 bots are probably better for practice. They attack relentlessly, so more opportunities get your deflects right. However they also feint and guard break...which is probably a good thing to practice against simultaneously. Otherwise you condition yourself to always deflect without thinking

Hi do i need to "sprint" to the direction + dodge? or just normal move to the direction + dodge?
Lodreus Feb 18, 2017 @ 10:41am
Direction + dodge. As you move your block goes in the same direction of where you move.

Normal move + dodge, also need to be in guard mode. As -Skimmer- said, probably better to test on lv3 bots, could also just make automatic and practice while bot lvl grows in duel mode ( time consuming bit effective). As starting out on lv3 bots will frustrate you with their relentless and unfair approach.

so i no need to press down the LS before i choose my direction. it will be just direction + dodge.

I assume there is no need for blocking stance RS for deflect

Like you do a parry but press dodge + direction instead.

Actually choosing direction first and then just taping your dodge button(spacebar on PC) just before the blow connects is the better approach. And no, your blocking stance has no effect on it.

you don't have to choose a direction. I just dodge in the direction of where the attack is coming from.

I don't have to choose my direction. I just dodge in the direction of where the attack is coming from.

I meant its easier to hold one button and tap the other one instead of tapping two at once.

Whatever works. I just let the deflect happen as the timing is quite quick.

anyone know the timing? is it same as parry? it seems harder than parry? any indicator?

the red marker which shows the direction of the attack flashes up shortly before the hit connects. that's when you have to do it
