How to cancel attacks

I see in the warden video that he can cancel the top heavy attack
how do you do that?

Feint yeah but the button or key map says cancel

You can do this feint with the heavy attacks of any character, although I think there might be exceptions

There are some characters that can cancel their heavy attacks with other means, but so far every hero can cancel their heavy attacks.

I think it was the Conqueror that was unable to cancel his attacks, haven't played him myself though
