Game doesn't launch

Hello all, did anybody have a problem launching the game?

I have played the open beta without any problems, I preloaded the game and now that it is launched I want to play however when I click play it says "running" for like 2 seconds and then disappears.

I checked my uplay and the game isn't even in my library. I can't find the Activation key either.

I don't know if the problem is with Steam or Uplay.

If anybody can help, it'll be much appreciated.

EDIT : I tried launching forhonor.exe via administrator mode (from the folder in the steam directory) and it brings me the screen where it says "Activate a Key"

50% of the time the game wont launch for me either. I usually have to log off then back on (of my pc) or do a restart.

I looked at the mail received by steam, no activation code, just an invoice number.
I have tried restarting my PC etc but it doesn't work. I think Uplay doesn't recognize me having bought for honor or something...

I found a way to work around it. Launch the game, after the splash screen ctrl alt del, the game is under processes and not applications. Close the process, leaving uplay running.
Open up uplay, click for honor. it might say 'download' instead of 'play' but clicking download made the game run.

why in 2017 you have to do this for a AAA game is beyond me. Ubisoft must hire hamsters for their QA

Probably a lot of ppl activating at the moment same happened to me during beta. Give it a little and close all instances/threads of Uplay and then try again :)

Well there is the splash art, it says initializing, then loging in and then it bumps me to the activation screen. I am trying to contact Ubisoft support but I believe they will ask me for the key which steam should have given it to me however I can't find it anywhere (mails, library etc.)
