PC UI with a PS4 controller

Will the UI display Xbox controller icons? Or will it be smart like Dark Souls and display Ps4 icons when it sees what I'm using?

Im using a PS4 controller on For Honor and I see all the Playstation Buttons I need to see

Since you already unearthed the thread, I'll say that DS4 support for this game isn't complete. Yes you have PS4 Prompts, but you should REALLY use a third-party software to emulate an Xbox controller instead, as the triggers will be fully supported this way.

People are still not aware of this : DS4 "native" support on For Honor does NOT properly support the triggers (issues when quickly switch targets, issues with some moves requiring heavy input like Highlander's fast flow into Offensive stance).

Emulating an Xbox Controller solves this issue.

FIX:

Step 1: Go into big picture mode

Step 2: Select "For Honor" game

Step 3: Select "Manage Games"

Step 4: Select "controller options"

Step 5: Under "Use Steam Configuration for Non-Steam Controllers" select "Forced off" - Experimental rumble emulation is on "controller preference (on)" and "Rumble Emulation frequency" setting is on default.

All I get is xbox buttons. The ps4 controller works, but only shows A,X,Y,B.

go to steam big picture mode-setting-controller setting-uncheck the playstation controller configuration , if the game has a native dualshock 4 support like the witcher 3/mad max 3 /for honor it will show xbox button if you *check* the playstation controller configuration , hope this helps because i fix this problem by doing this* sorry for bad english*
