I would prefer it if it let you pick your faction for the first round when you first start the game but have it choose for you for every round following that based on what faction you played the most last round. Of course get rid of the penalty for faction swapping mid season to accomodate this.
Would prehaps fix the balance issue a bit and I don't think someone is going to play a faction they don't like just for some fancy emblems or special head ornament or whatever the reward is.

Either that or use math to create balance by buffing the underdogs according to population sizes.
Right now it's just stupid and everyone is gonna be vikings since they won the closed beta, a trend that will only be broken if the vikings lose open beta or the first round at launch.

It was a closed beta. I dont think its guaranted that the viking will win the Open beta war since there will be much more players. we will see

EDIT: i posted on Ubisoft forum to know if there was a mechanism against unfair population of factions. Someone said it was supposed that factions with lower population get more assets per game. If yes, then having thousands vikings would not ensure they'll win if those thousands people aren't playing much. It would be better tobe in a lower populated faction with more active serious players then. But this was not confirmed by Ubisoft isn't it?

I hope they thought about this else it would be a real shame lol.

Picked knights solely because i prefer warden over the raider. And I refuse to pick anything samurai because imo it makes me just think of hardcore anime fanboys lol
